Abstrakty
To introduce the reader into an important and needed topic due to cognitive and educational aspects, the author points out that motivation in pedagogical, sociological and psychological publications is taken into consideration while analysing and characterising people’s personal features, leader’s in particular. It is also connected with shaping the youth’s defence awareness and preparing them to military service. Having shown the idea of motivation, it has been divided into inner and outer motivation and practical motifs that dominate over cognitive and social-disinterested ones. Also social and individual motifs and the motif of security have been differentiated. The most important individual and outer motivation conditions have been described while characterising motivation processes in defence education. It has been pointed out the teacher’s and superior’s authority, the need to grade difficulties to acquire gradually defence knowledge and habits appearing during natural disasters, catastrophes and malfunctions and mobilisation behaviours to maintain and restore security.
