The research paper discusses milk content of somatic cells, which can cause udder diseases - such as mastitis. Causes, symptoms and treatment methods of chronic inflammation of the udder were presented in the research paper. Cow’s milk has been examined for six weeks. Results of the research tests are summarized in tables and figures. The research indicates that in cows with increased number of somatic cells, that is, above 2000k/mL, mastitis was diagnosed.
