Abstrakty
Preliminary results of verapamil uptake into human blood platelets are presented. Fluorescence labeled verapamil (BODIPY-verapamil) was incorporated into blood platelets, and saturation of uptake was observed within 30 minutes. The uptake of BODIPY-verapamil was inhibited by unlabeled one. The number of binding sites is about 2.5x 105 per platelet, and apparent dissociation constant is 1.1±0.5xl05M. Plasma proteins can effectively bound verapamil and this makes it possible to maintain the constant level of the drug in blood.
