Influence of plant biostimulators: Asahi SL and Siapton 10 L on the development of western flower thrips (Frankliniella occidentalis) and damage of plants caused by this insect was studied on glasshouse cucumber cultivar Aramis. It was stated a clear tendency to an increase of pest population on the plants treated with biostimulators, as compared to the control plants. A high flower infestation by the pest of cucumber plants treated with biostimulators was recorded. The use of plant biostimulators in cucumber cultivation significantly influenced the level of plant damage caused by the western flower thrips.
