Abstrakty
10 VI a pair in copula was observed, and next, 1♀ laying eggs in Batrachium sp.; 2) Kowalew (51º53’N, 17º43’E, UTM: XT85), 1♂ observed 11 VI 2008; 3) Nowa Wieś (51º52’N, 17º46’E, UTM: XT95), 1♂ recorded on 18 VI 2008; 4) Lenartowice (51º55’N, 17º48’E, UTM: XT95), 2♂♂ patrolling and territorial noted on 25 VI 2008. In Poland the stable populations of the Scarlet Dragonfly have been found so far in the valley of the Upper Vistula River and in Przemyśl Upland. Clay excavations are the environments that play very important role in the existence of many dragonfly species (Tab. 1). This refers not only to the Pleszew Poviat but also to the whole south-eastern Great Poland (Wielkopolska).
