The purpose of this experiment was to study the concentration of magnesium and zinc in cancerous breast tissue and serum. Higher concentrations of magnesium and zinc were observed in cancerous tissue in comparison to healthy physiological tissue. Lower concentrations of magnesium and zinc were observed in the blood serum of women with breast cancer than in healthy physiological blood serum.
