Abstrakty
Esophagus contractions in cats are an infrequent condition and in most cases occur following the administration of a general anesthetic. Clinical symptoms in the form of regurgitation, vomiting up the stomach contents and subsequent anorexia and significant loss of body mass loss begin approximately 1-3 weeks after general anesthesia. The article describes two cases of esophagus contractions in cats diagnosed through esophagoscopic examinations.
