Oznaczono stężenie ołowiu i kadmu w populacji ludzi dorosłych. Wyniki poddano analizie statystycznej, oceniając współzależność między stężeniami badanych metali we włosach przy użyciu testu Spearmana i testu Kendale, a istotność różnic pomiędzy zawartościami oznaczonych metali we włosach u mężczyzn i kobiet stosując test Mann-Whitney'a.

Lead and cadmium levels were determined in the hair of the adult inhabitants of Szczecin by inversion voltamperometry using a Tribo ECD-PC-E-P apparatus. Mean concentration of lead was 10.31 µg/g dry mass for men and 10.22 µg/g dry mass for women. For cadmium, the corresponding values were 0.31 µg/g dry mass and 0.10 µg/g dry mass, respectively. Mean concentration of lead in the hair of the adults determined in this study (10.25 µg/g dry mass) was higher than the corresponding values reported by other authors. This may indicate a higher risk of environmental lead uptake in the region.
