This paper describes occurrence of Acylophorus wagenschieberi in Podlasie region (eastern Poland). Four new localities of the rare species are given. Some data on its habitat requirements and biology (life cycle mainly) are also provided. It occurs on high- and transitional moors, prefering the ecotone zones between the water bodies and the surrounding peatbogs. The main factor limiting its occurrence and abundance is high and stable water-level. It is a monovoltine species, with the summer larvae and wintering adult stage.
