Abstrakty
The experiment was conducted under three subtitles: - application of mineral additives in the feeding of calves up to the age of three months of life, - the use of treated colostrum and milk in rearing of calves, - optimization of whole milk application in conditions of earlier application of other fluid feeds. Early weaning of calves (third day) and moderate feeding with fluid feeds resulted in a 120% increase in concentrate consumption but did not affect the amount of consumed hay did not influence basic indices characterizing rearing efficiency. The use of acidified colostrum and milk (with butter milk, butter starter) resulted in the increase of solid feeds consumption and decreased incidence of diseases but did not have a significant influence on the mean daily gain and utilization of energy and protein. Application of commercial premixes: Tetamix (Mg), Mineral (Cu, Mn, Se, Co) and bio Visol (Na) increased mean daily gains of calves and improved their appetite. Concentration of minerals in blood and hair confirmed the need for Mg supplementation.
