Abstrakty
Przedstawiono wyniki badań całkowitych zawartości żelaza i manganu w wierzchnim, orno - próchnicznym poziomie gleb użytkowanych rolniczo w regionie dolnośląskim.
The paper presents the results of soil studies in the provinces of Lower Silesia, on the general contents of iron and manganese in the upper arable-humus layer of mineral and mineral-humic soils. The substantial differentiation of soils in the Lower Silesia region with respect to genetic, topological and species characteristics reflects in diversity of the properties studied. The reaction of the soils was within the range pH 3.0 - 8.1, humus content 0.2-40.4%, whereas the granulometric composition indicated at overbalance (more than 70%) of heavy and medium soils with respect to the remaining agronomic chategories. The total content of iron varied within the broad range 0.4-144.1 g• kg-1, the mean being 10.7 g, whereas of manganese in 9.7 - 3730 mg/kg, the mean being 478.8 mg. A topological differentiation in the elements' content was found, indicating at their marked accumulation in alluvial soils, as well as a markedly higher content in soils of mountainous complexes. Statistical analysis has shown that there is a clear relation between iron and manganese on the one hand and soil characteristics on the other, especially with soil size fractions (RFe = 0.56 and RMn = 0.43), colloidal clay (RFe = 0.55 and RMn = 0.38) and a bit lower with humus (Rfe = 0.30 and RMn = 0.19). Significantly positive correlations were also indicated between iron and manganese and other heavy metals, especially chromium, nickel, zinc and lead. No significant differences were found in iron and manganese concentrations in the upper soil level with respect to subsoil, which indicates lack of the impact of anthropogenic factors.
