W pracy przedstawiono sposób odżywiania się kobiet w okresie laktacji, zamieszkałych na terenie Podlasia w zależności od wybranych uwarunkowań i czynników środowiskowych.

The aim of the study was to present the nutrition of women in the lactation period living in Podlasie in reference to the chosen factors and environmental conditions. The study has proved the insufficient input of energy, fats and carbohydrates, as refered to the increased supply of nutrients. Young mothers (under the age of 25), who breast children from their first pregnancy, with under-graduate education level had a lower supply of energy and nutrients. The lactation period and the place of living (town, village) did not significantly influence the supply of energy and examined nutrients in diets of breast-feeding women.
