Wyczerpująco przedstawiono i omówiono dostępne dane oraz wyniki badań własnych dotyczące występowania, nagromadzania i dystrybucji srebra w owocnikach grzybów wyższych.

An extensive review have been made on the occurrence, bioaccumulation and distribution of silver in the fruiting bodies of edible and unedible mushrooms, including many species and families. In own studies, both in field conditions with Agaricus campestris and under controlled experiment wirh champignons Agaricus bisporus, a high bioaccumulation potency of silver by both these species was indicated. Nevertheless, the bioconcentration factors (BCF) values of silver both in wild growing A. campestris and cultivated A. bisporus highly decreased with an increase of silver concentration in the substrate.
