W pracy przeprowadzono ocenę aktywności ATP-azowej i fosfatazowej błony śluzowej jelita cienkiego myszy, które zatruwano dożołądkowo azotynem sodowym przed oraz w trakcie rozwoju włośnicy.
B6C3F1 mice received per os 40 mg NaNO2/kg b.w. daily for 10, 25 and 50 days. On days 5 and 20 of the nitrite pretreatment, the mice were intragastrically infected with larvae of Trichinella spiralis (500 larvae/mouse). The mice were sacrificed at the intestinal phase (5th day post infection - dpi) or muscular phase (30th dpi), and ATP-ase Na/K, ATP-ase Ca, and alkaline phosphatase (AP) activity in the small intestine mucosa was assayed. The infection of mice with T. spiralis decreased ATP-ase Na/K, ATP-ase Ca, and AP activity at 5th dpi, and increased the activity of these enzymes at the muscular phase (30th dpi). Increased activity of ATP-ase Na/K, ATP-ase Ca, and AP was observed on days 10 and 25 of the nitrite poisoning, while on 50th dpi the nitrite had no effect on the activity of the enzymes. Moreover, nitrite did not change the activity of the ATP-ases and AP of the trichinella-infected mice. Results of the present study indicate that pretreatment of mice with sodium nitrite had no effect on trichinellamodulated ATP-ase and AP activity in the intestinal and muscular phases of trichinellosis.
