В статье описаны причины и последствия уничтожения лесов в Изерских горах — наиболее на- западе расположенной цепи Судетов. Для задержания дальнейшей гибели лесов необходимым является сероочистка отработанных газов близлежащих электростанций.

The causes and the effects of the annihilation of the forests in the Izerskie Mountains, the most westerly advanced range of the Sudeten Mountains, are described. To stop further death of the Sudeten forests it is necessary, among others, to remove sulphur from the waste gases emitted by the nearby electric power plants.
