W pracy zawarto informacje o nowym stanowisku widłozęba zielonego Dicranum viride (Sull. &Lesq.) Lindb. – epifitycznego mchu, mającego status gatunku zagrożonego w Polsce i Europie. Jest to pierwsze notowanie tego gatunku na Lubelszczyźnie od blisko 50 lat, kiedy to został podany z kilku stanowisk w zachodniej części Wyżyny Lubelsko-Lwowskiej oraz pobliskiego Roztocza. Przedstawiono dokładne informacje o położeniu stanowiska widłozęba zielonego, liczebności populacji i uwarunkowaniach ekologicznych jego występowania. Jest to obecnie najbardziej na północ wysunięte stanowisko omawianego gatunku w regionie lubelskim

Dicranum viride (Sull. & Lesq.) Lindb. is an epiphytic moss species with a high value for the European conservation. In the Lublin region it has been known so far from several sites found in the mid-20th century. The new occurrence site is situated near the town of Lublin in the Lublin-Lvov Upland (Wyżyna Lubelsko-Lwowska) and it is the northernmost occurrence of the species in the region (51°24′N, 22°57′E, ATMOS EF37). Dicranum viride was found on the bark of an oak tree in the Tilio-Carpinetum forest, accompanied by other mosses, including Platygyrium repens, Orthodicranum montanum, Hypnum cupressiforme, Plagiothecium laetum, and Homalia trichomanoides. According to the most recent data on the distribution of bryophytes, especially from the eastern part of the Carpathians (Armata 2008, Stebel et al. 2008), it is highly probable that this endangered moss species is now spreading throughout south-eastern Poland.
