In 2012 the sales value of Polish agri-food products abroad amounted in general to EUR 17,5 billion and grew by 14,8% year on year. It should be pointed out that in the entire 2011 the export value amounted to EUR 15.2 billion and grew by 12.7% year on year. These products are the group of commodities which have brought an incessant positive balance to Polish trade since 2003. At present it amounts to EUR 4.2 billion. Polish food has been growing in importance in foreign trade. These results both from the use of modern processing technologies and high quality products, and from the production of traditional foods according to original recipes, which are highly appreciated in the global market. In 2004 Poland sold abroad agri-food products of the value amounting to EUR 5.2 billion.
