Changes of the Czech Personal Names System after 1989 (Illustrated with Celebrity Baby Names) The purpose of the article is to describe a particular group of Czech personal names, the celebrity baby names. Celebrity baby names represent a specific group formed in the background of new tendencies appearing in Czech anthroponymy after 1989. Even though the peculiar trends as double names, e.g. Jan Boleslav, Justina- Anna, and unique names, e.g. Amon Re, Haštal, Mia Rosa, are appearing in the group of personal names under consideration, the most of them are coined consistent with the main tendencies of Czech anthroponymy.
