Due to changing expectations, social development and new needs the popularization of knowledge requires inventing new tools. The article discusses one of them, namely knowledge festivals, which thrive in many countries. The author points that knowledge festivals have regional dimension since they are co created by many local entities as well as enable the development of cooperation net of economic and noncommercial organizations. The author believes also that knowledge popularization can become a new major requiring high level of familiarity with teaching methodology, human psyche and the steps of its development.
