From several decades in both Polish domestic law and European law a legal approach towards prevention of working time elongation can be seen as the evolution in increase of working safety. However, in case of medical staff following this rule resulted in significant increase in costs of employment and deficit in health care professionals. The text presents evolution of legal solutions concerning medical staff working time with coexisting controversies and perspectives
