The article contains an overview of selected research (mainly foreign) on the use of violence against the elderly during the pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. In the conducted analysis, attention was paid to risk factors related to the pandemic that contribute to the occurrence of domestic violence, presenting the main forms of violence against elderly people and presenting the statements of seniors experiencing violence during the pandemic. The study ended with a summary indicating that the scale of violence against the elderly is a serious social problem that requires thorough analysis and diagnosis.

Tekst zawiera przegląd wybranych badań (głównie zagranicznych) w zakresie stosowania przemocy wobec osób starszych w dobie pandemii wywołanej wirusem SARS-CoV-2. W prowadzonej analizie uwaga zwrócona została m.in. na czynniki ryzyka związane z pandemią, które stanowią o występowaniu przemocy w rodzinie; przedstawienie głównych form przemocy wobec osób starszych oraz przybliżenie wypowiedzi seniorów doświadczających przemocy w czasie pandemii. Tekst został zakończony podsumowaniem wskazującym, że skala przemocy wobec osób starszych stanowi poważny problem społeczny, który wymaga dokładnej analizy i diagnozy.
