The article aims to explain the essence of transformations in the system of Command and Control of the Polish Armed Forces in recent years. The study was presented by using research methods specific to security studies such as synthesis, retrospective analysis, comparative analysis, as well as a literature review. It was confirmed that frequent changes in the command and control system have a negative impact on the quality of the functioning of this system on the Polish Armed Forces example. The author's analysis shows that the armed forces play a special role in the political system, and their shape is largely determined by the preferences of political actors exercising state power. Addressing this issue through the prism of legal and political aspects allows to understand the essence of the army command and control system and its transformations in recent years.

W ostatnich latach obserwowane były zmiany w zakresie kierowania i dowodzenia Siłami Zbrojnymi Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest wyjaśnienie istoty przeobrażeń w systemie kierowania i dowodzenia Siłami Zbrojnymi RP, które weszły w życie w 2014 r. i tych najnowszych, których pierwszy etap został wdrożony w 2018 r. Istota przekształceń w systemie kierowania i dowodzenia Siłami Zbrojnymi RP została przedstawiona za pomocą metod badawczych takich jak: synteza, analiza retrospektywna, metoda porównawcza, wnioskowanie i uogólnienie. Ponadto, z analizy autorki wynika, iż siły zbrojne odgrywają szczególną rolę w systemie politycznym, a ich kształt jest w znacznej mierze determinowany przez preferencje aktorów politycznych, piastujących aktualnie władzę państwową. Podjęcie tej problematyki przez pryzmat aspektów prawnych i politycznych pozwala zrozumieć istotę systemu kierowania i dowodzenia armią i jego przeobrażeń w ostatnich latach.
