Termin „kryzys” często uważany jest za równoznaczny z upadkiem wartości ekonomicznych i społecznych. Jednak istota tego pojęcia sięga znacznie głębiej i wykracza poza jego społeczne i polityczne ujęcia. Istota kryzysu sięga wnętrza człowieka i jego wartości. Według Jana Patočka, każda istota ludzka musi doświadczyć pewnego kryzysu, który w naturalny sposób prowadzi do rozczarowania. Jednak zrodzić się może z niego również wielkie oczekiwanie na nadzieję, która jest znakiem naszej wewnętrznej, duchowej podstawy, którą musimy w sobie odnaleźć. Celem artykułu jest ukazanie rozważań Jana Patočka o wartości kryzysu i kryzysie wartości.
The term “crisis” is often considered as synonymous with the decline of economic and social values. However, the essence of this concept goes much deeper and beyond its social and political approaches. The essence of crisis reaches the interior of a human being and its values. According to Jan Patočka, every human being must experience some kind of crisis that naturally leads to disappointment. However, from there, may also be born a great expectation for hope, which is a sign of our inner, spiritual foundation that we must find in ourselves.
