Historiographic aspect of Herodotus, Thucydides and Plutarch in the christology of Acts

The first part of the article describes the beginnings of ancient historiography and presents the methods used by the first Greek historians: Herodotus, Thucydides and Plutarch. The article then compares the Book of Acts to the standards of this historiography which was the norm at the time. The second section presents the historiographical aspect of the prologue to the Book of Acts. A lot of space is devoted to this section, as the presence and content of the prologue indicates a direct connection between the Acts and ancient Hellenistic historiography and reveals the role and function of prologues in antiquity. The third part of the article concentrates on the Christological aspect of the Book of Acts and looks for its key in ancient Greek historiography by referring to the fathers of historiography.

Pierwsza część artykułu ukazuje początki starożytnej historiografii i przedstawia sposób pisania historii w konwencji pierwszych historyków greckich, takich jak Herodot, Tukidydes oraz Plutarch, i na ich tle prezentuje księgę Dziejów Apostolskich, ze wskazaniem jej miejsca w standardach historiografii tego czasu. Druga część przedstawia aspekt historiograficzny prologu w Dziejach Apostolskich. Poświęcono mu sporo miejsca, gdyż jego obecność i zawartość wskazuje bezpośrednio na powiązania Dziejów z hellenistyczną historiografią starożytną i wyjaśnia rolę i funkcję, jaką czasy starożytne nadały prologom. Trzecia część artykułu koncentruje się na aspekcie chrystologii Dziejów Apostolskich i szuka do niej klucza w greckiej historiografii starożytnej poprzez odniesienia do ojców historiografii.
