Diversity of Level and Sources of Employees’ Households Income in Poland

The objective of this paper is to present the economic situation of employees’ households in Poland. The household’s available income per person was applied as a measure of household’s financial situation. The level and structure of income of employees’ households (performing manual and nonmanual jobs) are presented in the context of its main socio-demographic and territorial characteristics. The paper makes an attempt to identify causes of income diversity. All the conclusions are based on the results of analysis of household budget surveys carried out by the Central Statistical Office in 2005.
