Using materials from the Russian National Military Archive in Moscow and specialist literature, in this article the author discusses the issues related to the creation and operation of the 25th Polish Rifle Squad in Przemyśl until its mobilization on the eve of the outbreak of the First World War. The article presents the unit’s weaponry, uniforms and equipment, course schedules and steady increase in numerical strength. The text also outlines the problems of the Polish Military Alliance, Polish Army and the Dezydery Chłapowski Training Unit in Przemyśl.
