Autor artykułu dokonał analizy motywów, formy prawnej oraz rzeczywistego oddziaływania tzw. skorowidza wzorców umownych stosowanych przez ubezpieczyciela, czyli zamieszczanej w treści wzorca informacji o jednostkach redakcyjnych, w których zostały zamieszczone najistotniejsze elementy stosunku prawnego ubezpieczenia. Podstawową tezą artykułu jest stwierdzenie, że ewentualne wadliwe sporządzenie skorowidza powoduje wewnętrzną sprzeczność wzorca umowy, która może być traktowana jako niejednoznaczność jego postanowień. W takim przypadku postanowienia wzorca należy interpretować z korzyścią dla ubezpieczającego, ubezpieczonego lub innego uprawnionego z umowy ubezpieczenia.

The author has analysed the reasons, legal form and the real impact of the so-called " index" of standard contracts used by the insurer, i.e. the information on editorial units included in the content of a standard, in which the essential elements of the legal relationship of insurance are incorporated. The basic thesis of the article is that the faulty compilation of the index causes the internal contradiction within a standard contract, which may be regarded as the ambiguity of its provisions. In this case, standard provisions should be interpreted in favour of the policyholder, the insured or any other beneficiary of an insurance contract.
