The article deals with the problems of formation of legal competence on the basis of legal literacy of future specialists in physical culture and sports. The concepts of «legal literacy» and “legal competence” are expanded. On their basis structure and conditions of formation of legal competence of experts on physical training and sports of an average professional educational institution are considered.
