Content available remote Effect of welding parameters on the strength of safety cages
EN
Safety cages, constituting essential equipment in sports car, aim to reduce consequences of potential accidents. These structures should provide the highest possible and reproducible level of workmanship aimed to ensure their strength as that assumed at the design stage. Because of the fact that welding is the primary technology used in the fabrication of safety cages it is highly necessary to analyse the effect of welding parameters as well as the choice of welding methods on process repeatability and strength properties of welded joints. The aim of this study was to determine the influence of the welding method on the strength of test cruciform joints of tubes as well as to investigate the effect resulting from the change of MAG and TIG welding current parameters on the linear deformation of welded joints. The article discusses the effect of welding process conditions on the static strength of cruciform joints in steel E355 +N (used in the fabrication of safety cages). The tests revealed that an increase in heat input during welding significantly reduced the strength of cruciform joints as well as significantly contributed to an increase in post-weld linear deformation, which, in terms of spatial safety of cage structure, could lead to a significant pile-up of stresses.

The text aims to provide an insight into the everyday automotive life of owners of passenger cars during the last two decades of the Polish People’s Republic. The turning point of the 1960s and 1970s in the communist bloc countries marked a shift towards consumption, with a particular emphasis on individual motorization. In Poland, the new ruling team under Edward Gierek announced a significant increase in the production of passenger cars. The licensing agreement for manufacturing the Fiat 126p at the Passenger Car Factory was intended to be a milestone in the development of individual motorization. The people enthusiastically embraced the government’s plans, and there was a mass prepayment for the ‘maluch’ (Fiat 126p). Unfortunately, throughout the two decades discussed, it was impossible to meet the popular demand for this car fully. The altered sales system in 1981 failed due to production shortages, and the waiting period extended to even ten years. As a result, Poles turned massively towards car markets. Acquiring a car and its subsequent maintenance involved specific expenses. Therefore, the possibilities of obtaining and using a car were tied to a certain income level. The sharp increase in the number of cars significantly impacted leisure activities, especially the development of automotive tourism.

Oczywiście mam tu na myśli samą koncepcję pojazdu - czyli silnik spalinowy, skrzynię biegów, hamulce, oświetlenie, siedzenia no i nadwozie.

Automotive companies require continuous development and demonstration of huge adaptability to market requirements. The level of competition in this sector has created the need to increase productivity, productivity and quality to meet customer requirements. Despite the opportunities offered by automation of production and logistics systems, many companies, especially the automotive industry, still rely on man-made work because of its flexibility and cognitive and motor skills, which machines are unable to perform. It should be pointed out that the multivariantity and specificity of production technologies and the time of technological changeovers make a low level of automation or lack thereof the only right alternative. At work, an attempt was made to carry out an analysis of factors affecting the efficiency of low-automation production processes on the example of a polish manufacturing company from the automotive industry.

This paper examines the possibility to improve mixed weldability of pins to mobile platforms. There is an increasing demand for mixed joints made of hard-weldable steel used in civil engineering and the automotive industry. A good example of this is welding of movable platform elements such as a pin to arm joints. The pin is very often made of yield structural steel S690 QL (1.8928), while the arm of the movable platform is mainly made of DOCOL 1400M steel from the AHSS group (advanced high-strength steel). This kind of joint is not easy to manufacture due to the different chemical compositions and thicknesses of both grades of steel. The difference in the thickness of welded elements creates an additional difficulty. The main aim of this article is to determine the most appropriate welding parameters and select additional materials to obtain the correct joint with good mechanical properties, free from welding defects and incompatibilities. This article examines whether the application of micro-jet cooling technology during the welding process might help to overcome these issues. For the first time, micro-jet cooling was not used to weld these grades of steel. The welding parameters and the micro-jet cooling parameters were investigated.

This paper analyzes the real-world experience of using Bicycle traffic as a new way of supporting logistics traffic and reducing the load on the transport network of cities. As a result of this research, it was found that the real-world experience yields positive results and that cycling is actively becoming common in most of the world's cities. In the Russian Federation, not much attention has been paid to this in comparison with other countries; nevertheless, in recent years, this has been actively pursued. Research of the transport system supporting the city Stary Oskol of the Belgorod region and the Russian Federation allowed the authors to determine the main strategies for the development of a comprehensive and integrated Cycling network consisting of a Bikeway Plan as well as an economic assessment of its implementation. To justify this Bikeway plan, a simulation of travel time on public transport, calculation of the total travel time on various modes of transport and calculation of the walking time compared to the time spent in public transport were performed.
