Póżniej oczywiście udział ten stopniowo malał, po czterech miesącach do poziomu 15,7% (sierpień 2020), niemniej jednak dwa lata temu w listopadzie, gdzie sklepy w galeriach były zamknięte, ponownie wzrósł, osiagając wartość 35, 4%.

The article describes the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and quarantine on the personality of contemporary adolescents. Due to the relevance of the topic around the world, the work focuses on adolescence, which is the most vulnerable to the changes caused by the pandemic. The features of adolescents, their new psycho-social formations and the specifics of the crises of this period are described. The emphasis has been placed on the significance of the role of communication in adolescence, where the leading tendency is peer communication. The research process was somewhat complicated due to the introduction of such quarantine regulations as distance learning, ban on mass gatherings, and so on. The article presents the results of an empirical study of the impact of quarantine on the personality of adolescents, namely the assessment of state (reactive) anxiety and identifying and assessing communication and organisational aptitudes of an individual (a communication study). Restrictions on social interactions in adolescence, physical activity, and inability to learn offline during quarantine lead to changes in the psycho-emotional state of adolescents, that is increased anxiety, depression, fear, aggression, etc. However, the article reveals both the negative and positive aspects of the impact of quarantine on an individual. In conditions of social isolation, uncertainty of the situation, and the influence of emotional tension, certain interpersonal and intrapersonal conflicts can occur leading to changes in the psychological state of an adolescent. Therefore, the implementation of quarantine regulations should entail awareness raising work among the population in order to reduce the impact of managing risk factors. The article describes the features of psychologists’ psycho-correctional work with adolescents, educational and awareness raising work with parents and teachers to help adolescents adapt to the new living conditions in quarantine and distance learning.

Ograniczenia interakcji społecznych w okresie dojrzewania, aktywność fizyczna, niemożność uczenia się offline podczas kwarantanny, prowadzą do zmian stanu psychoemocjonalnego dorastającego (wzrost niepokóju, depresji, strachu, agresji itp.).

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected all areas of our society. The effects of the pandemic on the economy have not only affected mainly the development of transport and tourism but most especially air transport. Many airports in Europe and around the world have experienced a drop in passengers and cargo due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For many airports, this period, which began in 2019, meant huge losses due to a drop in passengers, leading to the collapse of several airlines. Despite the gradually improving situation, the impact of the pandemic is still being felt, and the number of passengers at airports is growing rather slowly. Thus, airports had to deal with the current situation and adapt their future operation to the current conditions. Even the leading airport in Central Europe - the Schwechat Airport in Vienna - was not spared from the effects of the current pandemic. This article aims to evaluate the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on Schwechat airport. It focuses on the analysis of the development of the airport before and during the pandemic up to the present. Further, this article describes the problems that Schwechat airport dealt with throughout the period, with the loss of passengers, delays and the collapse of carriers. Subsequently, this article is part of a study aimed at identifying the negative effects of the pandemic on air transport and related industries worldwide. Predicting the development of the airport is a very important aspect, especially for the company's management and should be part of the risk management of every company.

Słowa kluczowe: pandemia, bezpieczeństwo, Kościół Zielonoświątkowy w RP The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the security of religious assemblies of the ‘Christian Community’ Congregation – a case study.

The COVID-19 pandemic is one of the most significant threats of recent years, both on a global and local scale. The study of this phenomenon is important not only because of the need of portraying it in a more comprehensive way, but also because the data obtained in this respect may support the process of forecasting the future. The aim of the article is to present the results of own research, relating to the assessment of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the safety of religious gatherings of the ‘Christian Community’ (Polish: Chrześcijańska Społeczność) Congregation in Ząbkowice Śląskie (Poland). The first research problem was to find which aspects in the functioning of the community (and to what extent) were affected by the pandemic. The second question for which we strived to find a response was: Which preventive measures have been adopted in the ‘Christian Community’ Congregation to ensure its appropriate functioning and reduce the risk of the COVID-19 infection among the members and sympathizers? The proposed time period adopted for needs of the research covered the period from the end of March 2020 to the end of April 2021. Research has shown that the COVID-19 pandemic affected all areas of the community’s existence to a varying extent. Furthermore, it was also found that preventive measures, taken by the community, enabled it to function, limiting the risk of infection of the members and sympathizers with the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Moreover, it was determined that, apart from biological determinants, also psychological factors posed a threat to the activities of the church, some of which may have already existed, while others arose due to the pandemic. This suggests that an area has been defined for further in-depth research concerning the premises that determine the security of religious gatherings, carried out in the context of the rational behavior of their participants in the event of epidemic threats.

EN
The article is an attempt to show how the coronavirus pandemic has had and continues to affect the development market. As is well known, at the beginning of March 2020, Poland recorded the first case of COVID-19 infection. From that time until July 2021, the authorities announced several economic closures - lockdowns in Poland. This mainly concerned trade and services. Initially, the situation related to COVID-19 on the housing market was also uncertain. Developers have suspended some construction works, some have not started at all. This was due to several factors, including new requirements set by banks for borrowers, uncertainty of investors - future apartment buyers, and the unstable situation of other industries. For this reason, this article analyzes the reactions of the primary market to the subsequent restrictions and the epidemic situation. The analysis of developers' behavior, changes in the prices of building materials and changes in the prices of construction services was undertaken. The research results will be based on data from five cities in Poland.

Dotyczyło to głównie handlu i usług.

Purpose: The purpose of the study was to indicate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the functioning of business models of selected companies. The analysis of the operation and direction of changes in the business model was carried out with an example of two family businesses. Conducting research on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the change in business models of companies is important due to the fact that the pandemic forced changes in the operation of many plants, which could affect the functioning of the business models adopted so far. For entrepreneurs, it is important to indicate how to modify and create business models that will work in different conditions. A good business model concept not only allows the company to gain better insight into its own business, but also allows for improvements and innovations. Design/methodology/approach: Business model analysis is based on one of the most popular business model templates, which is the Business Model Canvas. Changes in the functioning of the business model before the pandemic in 2018 and in 2021 were assessed. Nine elements of the business model were analysed, i.e. customer segments, value proposition, channels/communication, distribution, sales, customer relations, revenue streams, key resources, key activities, key partners, cost structure. The analysis was based on literature studies on the subject discussed and on the basis of data obtained during interviews with business owners. Findings: When analysing the examples of companies and their business model, it can be concluded that the changes in the elements of the business models of the surveyed enterprises were both quantitative and qualitative. Companies have made the most changes in the following elements: key resources, key activities, key partners, cost structure. Other elements included in the Business canvas model have only partially changed, such as customer relations. During the pandemic, another important aspect was noticed in companies, related closely to employees. The lack of an employee due to illness or the lack of a replacement for such an employee generated big problems, confusion at the level of customer relations, customer contacts, contacts with partners, timeliness of production and delivery, etc. The author proposed modifications to the existing BUSINESS CANVAS MODEL by adding the “employees” element. An analysis of this additional element in the model already at the stage of creating a business model can help new companies build a stable business model that will work in difficult situations. In crisis situations, such as the Covid-19 pandemic, employers should quickly plan the division of responsibilities in accordance with the principles of safety and prevention of infection, and make efforts to restore a normal, healthy rhythm of their company as soon as possible. Therefore, it is necessary to develop and implement new strategies and additional activities to ensure the safety and productivity of people and thus build a business-resilient company. Practical implications: Implementation of a new business model modified by the author of the publication will help new companies build a stable business model that will work in difficult situations such as the pandemic. Originality/value: The research is aimed primarily at owners of family businesses. The added value to the article is an attempt to identify elements of the business model that should be paid special attention to when creating new business models. The operation of business models during the pandemic requires a broader analysis and the presented research results contribute to reducing the cognitive gap in this area. Analysis of business models of the sample companies may constitute an introduction to broader research on the creation of innovative business models that will be able to work in the rapidly changing conditions of the company's environment.

Purpose: Technological changes determined by the development of Industry 4.0 significantly change the business models of modern organizations. The Covid-19 pandemic is also influencing changing organizational systems and dynamic progress in technological transformation. The main purpose of the paper is to present the impact of digital transformation on changes in business models and to answer the question if Covid-19 will accelerate change. Design/methodology/approach: The paper contains the literature review on business model concept, Industry 4.0, Digital Transformation and Covid-19. In this paper the empirical study is also presented. The main research problem was to determine the impact of the digital transformation (technological progress) following the Covid-19 pandemic on changes in the business models of Polish enterprises and public sector institutions. Findings: A research confirmed that the digital transformation (processes connected with digitization, automation, robotization and artificial intelligence) resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic has had an impact on the business models of both Polish enterprises and public sector institutions. The research also confirmed a discrepancy between the opinions of experts and management when it came to assessing the impact of technological progress associated with Covid-19 on the business models of the surveyed organizations. Originality/value: The presented work is an important contribution when it comes to the post pandemic economic reality. Paper assesses the impact of technological progress induced by Covid-19 on changes in the functioning of individual processes, which can be an important guide for management practitioners, helpful in implementing modern technological solutions in organizations.

Purpose: The COVID-19 pandemic demonstrated that global production chains significantly reduce the security of states and companies: in the face of problems with the movement of goods and people, there have been disruptions in the supply of goods. States and companies should influence the location of safety-critical businesses by limiting their acceptable space. This means the need to form a list of businesses that are important to the security of the state or company and are sensitive to pandemic threats, as well as the need to establish acceptable placement for such businesses. To assess the prospects of business placement in terms of pandemic threats, it is necessary to improve theoretical approaches to the study of factors of business placement. On this basis, it is possible to conduct a qualitative study of pandemic threats as factors in the placement of businesses and to develop recommendations for states and companies to limit the space for the acceptable placement of relevant businesses. Design/methodology/approach: Morphological analysis is used as the main research method. Findings: It is advisable to divide the business placement factors into internal factors, which are generated by the "business" side and external generated by the "place" side, as well as for the past, present and future. Internal and external factors of business placement form complementary pairs of factors, which are characterized by the strength of the impact, as well as the possibility of artificial creation, cost and duration. Originality/value: Business placement factors need to be investigated over time, for which it is advisable to use the term PPF-research (past-present-future-research). Pandemic threats were in the past, are now and, with a high probability, will be factors in the placement of many types of business in the future. Business placement under the influence of pandemic threat factors in targeting sales markets sharply increases the attractiveness of production using 3D printing technologies, the widespread and continuous improvement of which should become one of the priorities of the innovation policy of states and companies in Europe.

Purpose: The main purpose of this article is to recognise whether changes in logistic customer service made by the surveyed companies after the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic differed depending on the size of the company, the type of business and the role that the surveyed enterprise played in the supply chain. Design/methodology/approach: The results of empirical research conducted on a research sample of 250 companies are described (in the section concerning logistic customer service). The research was carried out in the second quarter of 2021. Findings: The processes taking place in enterprises to which special attention was paid and those which were the most important for enterprises from the point of view of logistic customer service are indicated. The changes in logistic customer service made after the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic are outlined. Research limitations/implications: In the face of the ongoing pandemic, business representatives’ perception of logistic customer service may change over time. It is therefore worth repeating the research described in this article in the post-pandemic period in order to conduct a comparative analysis that may be a source of an interesting scientific discussion. Practical implications: Indicating the scope of the changes in logistic customer service made by enterprises during the COVID-19 pandemic may constitute the basis for enterprises to compare their activities with those performed by the enterprises participating in the research. These changes can be implemented to gain a competitive advantage. Social implications: Building awareness of the need to introduce changes in a company’s operations during the COVID-19 pandemic is a necessary element for creating new standards in the area of logistic customer service, for which not only economic values, but also ecological and social values are increasingly important. Originality/value: The processes taking place in enterprises and affecting customer satisfaction (which translates into a company’s profit) during the COVID-19 pandemic have not yet been thoroughly studied due to the course of the pandemic and its duration. This article is addressed to managers dealing with logistic customer service.

Purpose: This paper aims to analyse and discuss well-being initiatives undertaken by companies during the pandemic. Well-being is considered an overall subjective evaluation of an individual's life, including three main areas: psychological (ability to cope with stressors and stay in a positive mood), physical (good health, fitness, beauty, sleep) and social (positive relationships, support). It influences work satisfaction, motivation and performance. Design/methodology/approach: The applied method was a case study analysis. 21 companies and 105 well-being interventions were investigated in terms of the type, frequency, expected outcomes, implementation process, measurement methods and cooperation with employees. Findings: Results show that the most common are interventions in mental health and physical activity improvements as well as building positive relationships between employees working remotely. Interventions usually suit the employees' needs; however, well-being and intervention effectiveness are not very well measured and investigated in a study sample. More reliable and evidence-based methods of implementation of well-being management are needed. Research limitations/implications: A certain limitation may be the deliberate selection of the research sample – only companies operating in Poland were included in the study, which excludes generalisation of the results obtained. Practical implications: Building a culture of well-being in an organisation should not be based on random, ad hoc activities, but rather on a long-term strategy in which both employees, leaders and managers play an important role. Originality/value: The described research results prove that a large group of entrepreneurs in the country has entered the phase of business maturity and appreciate the role and importance of the organisational culture in terms of well-being at work during a difficult period of the pandemic. The article may be especially useful for HR managers and HR business partners.

EN
Purpose: Analysis of the marketing opportunities in the virtual world, on the example of events. Design/methodology/approach: The article entails a literature review of the definitions as well as categorization and evolution of events, in the context of the pandemic and the digitalization trend. Findings: The notion of the concept of events became the background for the considerations. The concept of an event is discussed. Analysis of the existing typology of events forced the selection of events for in-depth analysis, including the use of events in the virtual world. Research limitations/implications: The text refers to a limited number of studies. The issues presented in the article require empirical confirmation, using more examples. Practical implications: The literature analysis conducted allows a conclusion that the concept of events has evolved, while the trends and the digital tools supporting events facilitate more accurate achievement of the marketing goals desired. Originality/value: The conclusions presented in this work constitute an extension of the themes present in the literature on the subject, pointing to the interrelationships the online, offline (face to face), and hybrid (live events with simultaneous online streaming, allowing remote participation) events form in marketing objective building.

Purpose: The aim of this study is to collect information on students' perception of their life quality during a pandemic. It aimed at gaining information on how quality of life changed before and during the pandemic. Design/methodology/approach: The research method used was a questionnaire survey. For this purpose, Google Form was used. The survey contained 22 multiple choice questions. Findings: The pandemic had a negative impact on the perception of life quality. Using a categorization into 8 areas in the hierarchy of values in the students' lives, the most important were found to be family, mental and physical health and friends. Research limitations/implications The major limitation was the number of votes collected in the survey. The next research should be extended to include the issue of hierarchy of values in relation to the perception of life quality and a larger research group, for example, students from different universities in different provinces. Social implications: This study will provide insight into the issues and changes in the perception of life quality that affect students during a global pandemic. The article presented here is a voice in the discussion of students' perception of life quality during a pandemic. Originality/value: The research presents changes in the perception of life quality by students of the Silesian University of Technology during a global pandemic.

The global coronavirus pandemic and the effects of the COVID-19 disease have had an unprecedentedly significant impact on social behaviour and the global economy. The effects of the epidemic and the resulting restrictions will effect world markets for a long time, in almost every economic sector. The article presents the results of a preliminary analysis of how the pandemic influenced the functioning of the vehicle maintenance sector, using authorized service station (ASO) as an example. As part of the research, a comprehensive analysis of costs and work performance indicators was conducted and the results obtained in 2019, before the pandemic and in 2020 were compared. Additionally, an estimated forecast for the following years was made. The practical effect of the study is to present the extent to which the impact of the environment, an extremely unpredictable factor that has not yet occurred on such a scale in the global economy, affects the balance of costs and the efficiency of ASO work.

The influence of global lockdowns during the COVID-19 pandemic has profoundly impacted the lives of many people. Once performed elsewhere, many activities had to be moved to private spaces of individual homes, influencing how people use their residential space, modifying their living and working conditions. The purpose of this study was to research the changes in the use of residential space through questionnaires addressed to respondents in five age groups (up to 25, 26–35, 36–50, 51–65, and over 65), and living or studying in the Milan area (Lombardy)—an area affected severely by COVID-19 in the period March–May 2020. The obtained questionnaire results allowed the authors to create a set of guidelines for apartment design, intended to improve their spatial performance. The observations made when creating the case study projects led to two main conclusions: First, at the level of the house plan, the arrangement of the plan should be free and adaptable, al-lowing for fast alteration by the user. Second, the project should be tailor-made, highly specialized, and purposefully designed at the level of home office design, including appropriate furnishings, technical appliances, and lighting systems.
