This paper addresses the problem of model-based global stability analysis of discrete-time Takagi–Sugeno multiregional dynamic output controllers with static antiwindup filters. The presented analyses are reduced to the problem of a feasibility study of the Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMIs), derived based on Lyapunov stability theory. Two sets of LMIs are considered candidate derived from the classical common quadratic Lyapunov function, which may in some cases be too conservative, and a fuzzy Lyapunov function candidate, which has been proven to significantly reduce the conservatism level, although at the cost of increasing the number of LMIs. Two numerical examples illustrate the main result.
This paper deals with two important practical problems in motion control of robot manipulators: the measurement of joint velocities, which often results in noisy signals, and the uncertainty of parameters of the dynamic model. Adaptive output feedback controllers have been proposed in the literature in order to deal with these problems. In this paper, we prove for the first time that Uniform Global Asymptotic Stability (UGAS) can be obtained from an adaptive output feedback tracking controller, if the reference trajectory is selected in such a way that the regression matrix is persistently exciting. The new scheme has been experimentally implemented with the aim of confirming the theoretical results.
Content available remote On stability of equilibrium in linear thermoviscoelasticity
We present some results concerning the uniform Lyapunov stability of the generalized solution of an equilibrium problem for thermoviscoelastic materials [9]. These results are similar to those obtained in [4-7]. The results in [4] were subsequently developed for exterior domains in [8].
