W artykule przedstawiono wykorzystanie oryginalnej metody diagnostyki termograficznej wirnika dużej mocy i bardzo dużych gabarytów, opartej na nagrzewaniu wirnika przez wymuszony przepływ prądu przez wał, w celu weryfikacji wcześniejszej diagnozy stanu wirnika postawionej w oparciu o pomiar i analizę prądów fazowych silnika i strumienia poosiowego. Kamera termowizyjna rejestruje lokalne wzrosty temperatury w określonych miejscach wirnika i tym sposobem potwierdza zagrożone miejsca w klatce, a także w blachach i konstrukcji mechanicznej wirnika. Osobnym wyzwaniem jest tu zapewnienie wymuszenia prądu o natężeniu wielu kiloamperów, aby tym sposobem nagrzać wirnik.

The article presents the use of the original thermographic method of diagnostics of high power and very large dimensions rotor, based on heating the rotor by forcing the current flow through the shaft, to verify the prior diagnosis based on the measurement and analysis of phase currents of the motor and its axial flux. The infrared camera records the local temperature increases in specific areas of the rotor and thus confirms the presence of exact endangered points of the cage, inside the core and the mechanical structure of the rotor as well. An extra separate challenge is to provide a forcing of several thousands of amps of the current intensity to thereby heat the rotor.

In the paper the guidelines for designing the shaft and bearings of AC induction traction motors are described. It is pointed what the mechanical and electric parameters should be considered when designing the shaft and bearings taking into account the required traction characteristic. The instructions how to analyse the fitting of bearings into the bearing seatings are also given.
