Issue of the computer simulation of the fibrous filter materials

The disordered structure of the filter materials used for engine fluids cleaning is very difficult for the mathematical description. The paper presents the results of the computer simulation these structures. The computer program used enables to simulate unlimited fibrous structures. It is possible to change the length of the fibers, their thickness and a percentage. The simulated structure is described by parameters like: number of pores, area, circumference and radius of the smallest, medium and maximum pore. The paper present simulation example of the fibrous structure and mathematical dependences between parameters describing the simulated structure.

Nieuporządkowana struktura materiałów filtracyjnych stosowanych do oczyszczania płynów eksploatacyjnych jest bardzo trudna do opisu matematycznego. W artykule przedstawiono rezultaty komputerowej symulacji takich struktur. Zastosowany program komputerowy pozwala symulować struktury zbudowane z włókien o dowolnie zadawanych parametrach: długości, grubości i ich udziału procentowego. Symulowana struktura jest charakteryzowana liczbę por, ich powierzchnię, obwód oraz promień najmniejszej, średniej i maksymalnej kapilary. Przedstawiono przykład symulacji włóknistej struktury filtracyjnej i matematyczne zależności opisujące tę strukturę.
