This paper aims to establish the current state of knowledge on collective creativity in management science based on a systematic literature review. A systematic review was performed based on the three-step SPL procedure proposed by Tranfield et al. (2003). Two databases (Scopus and Web of Science) were searched electronically until March 2022. Literature analysis and content analysis were performed based on the secondary data. Eighteen studies met the inclusion criteria following the systematic literature review procedure. The conducted descriptive and thematic analysis allowed establishing the state of knowledge in the analysed area and identifying the main thematic areas along with the future research directions. The research was the first to conduct a systematic literature review (SLR) on collective creativity in management science. The main contribution of this paper is its exclusive focus on analysing existing research in the collective creativity field, limited to management science. SLR allowed determining that research in the analysed area was still at a fairly early stage. Although the existing literature sheds some light on collective creativity, studies investigating the aspects of teamwork focused on problem-solving are required.

W artykule przedstawiono opracowanie mające na celu zbadanie nowego zjawiska powstałego w obszarze architektury miejsc pracy o charakterze biurowym. W wyniki unowocześniania narzędzi pracy m.in. przez ich cyfryzację oraz komputeryzację zaobserwowano dynamiczne przekształcanie się przestrzeni biurowych dzięki wykorzystaniu nowych funkcji, które mają na celu wspieranie procesów pracy kreatywnej. To zjawisko szczególnie zauważalne jest w realizacjach zagranicznych obiektów biurowych będących siedzibami firm dominujących na rynku europejskim i międzynarodowym w danej dziedzinie zawodowej. Celem badań jest analiza nowoczesnych kierunków projektowych polskich i zagranicznych obiektów biurowych. Do procesu badawczego wykorzystano badania ankietowe, inwentaryzacyjne, wywiady środowiskowe, metody badań ilościowych i porównawczych oraz badania literaturowe. Wyniki badań pokazują polskie szanse oraz możliwości projektowania innowacyjnego i kreatywnego miejsca pracy biurowej.

The article presents a study to investigate a new phenomenon arising in the area of architecture of office workplaces. The results of the modernization of work tools through, among other things, their digitalization and computerization have seen a dynamic transformation of office spaces through the use of new features that are designed to support creative work processes. This phenomenon is particularly noticeable in the construction of foreign office buildings, which are the headquarters of companies dominating the European and international market in a given professional field. The aim of the research is to analyse modern design directions of Polish and foreign office buildings. The research process was based on surveys, inventories, environmental interviews, quantitative and comparative research methods and literature studies. The results of the research show Polish chances and possibilities of designing an innovative and creative office workspace.

Artykuł przedstawia postać i dzieło wybitnego Krakowianina - czołowego profesora Wydziału Architektury Politechniki Krakowskiej i Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Krakowie. Zaprezentowane pola jego aktywności to kreacje budynków i zespołów urbanistycznych - zrealizowanych i koncepcyjnych, ukazanych w szerokim spektrum graficznym, od fascynujących szkiców odręcznych rysowanych i malowanych, do pracowitych dokumentacji studialnych w odniesieniu do konkursów i projektów wystawowych - o problematyce rozpiętej od konserwatorstwa (projekt przekształcenia Krakowskiego Rynku, projekt przekształcenia Wawelskiego Wzgórza), aż do futurologii. Przeszedł życiową drogę ideowo-projektową od tożsamościowego regionalizmu (zwłaszcza ulubionego regionu Tatr, Skalnego Podhala, Zakopanego i Nowego Targu) - do ekstremalnego modernizmu budowli i miast. Swoje dokonania przekazywał w porywającej dydaktyce, poprzez ilustrowane krasomówcze wykłady oraz wnikliwe, bogate i asertywne dialogi z kolegami, asystentami i studentami. Bliską architekturze i urbanistyce, ale faktycznie odrębną dziedziną jego czynnych zainteresowań - było programowe malarstwo krajobrazowe na pograniczu abstrakcji. Używając techniki tempery na kartonie, wytworzył absolutnie oryginalny i silnie rozpoznawalny styl cechujący się znaczną dynamiką i twórczą odwagą. Autor artykułu znał profesora od swego dzieciństwa, był jego studentem, magistrantem, doktorantem, asystentem w Uczelni i autorem szeregu publikacji naukowych z nim związanych. Poniższe informacje i uwagi są wynikiem: osobistej znajomości wielu opisywanych dzieł i ich tworzenia, studiów literaturowych, kontaktów z istotnymi osobami, wreszcie własnych interpretacji i ocen.

The article presents the character and work of an outstanding citizen of Krakow - a leading professor of the Faculty of Architecture of the Cracow University of Technology and the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. The fields of his activity that have been presented here include designs of buildings and urban complexes - both built and conceptual, presented in a broad graphical spectrum, from fascinating hand-drawn and painted sketches, to meticulous study documentation for competitions and exhibition designs—with a thematic scope ranging from architectural conservation (a design of the transformation of Krakow's Main Market Square, a design of the transformation of Wawel Hill), to futurology. He traversed his life's ideological and design path from identity-based regionalism (particularly of his favourite region of the Tatra Mountains, Skalne Podhale, Zakopane and Nowy Targ) - to an extreme modernism in terms of both buildings and cities. He transferred his accomplishments through captivating didactics, illustrated oratory lectures and in-depth, rich and assertive di-alogues with colleagues, assistants and students. Programmatic landscape painting bordering on the abstract, close to architecture and urban planning—was a separate field of his interests. Using distemper on carton, he developed an absolutely original and strongly recognisable style characterised by considerable dynamic and creative boldness. The author of the article knew the professor since his childhood and was his student, master's and doctoral candidate and an assistant at the University, as well as the author of a series of scientific publications associated with him. The information and comments below are the result of personal familiarity with many of the discussed works and their creation, literature studies, contacts with essential persons and ultimately the author's own interpretations and assessments.

Podstawowym założeniem i celem artykułu jest podkreślenie czynnika materialnego w twórczości oraz wykazanie w tym kontekście dużego znaczenia samej twórczości jako procesu mającego cechy uniwersalne dla działalności związanej z projektowaniem. The article in a subjective and at the same time synthetic way presents a point of view on several key problems related to the concept of creativity in relation to the medium understood as a material and the matter of a work of art. It contains the reflections and conclusions gained thanks to the combination of didactic activity at the Faculty of Architecture Wrocław University of Science and Technology with the independent artistic activity in the field of painting and sculpture. The basic assumption and purpose of the article is to emphasize the material factor in the artistic work and to demonstrate the great importance of the creativity as a process that has universal features for activities related to design. In the context of the discussed problems, fragments of aesthetic thought, selected phenomena in the area of art history and specific examples of own works as well as student works created during the sculpture classes at the Faculty of Architecture are quoted here.

Conceptual and theoretical bases of forming integrated creative personality of a child in modern conditions of a preschool educational establishment are proved in the article. The features of creative development of preschool children are presented; the importance of an educator in managing such process is disclosed; the ways to optimizing it are described. The opportunities of different kinds of art activities on the basis of sustainable development that provides implementing individual and differentiated approach, taking into account individual and typological characteristics and interests of children to independent artistic activity and its free choice are revealed.

Although the relationship between the cognitive style and creativity has been the subject of many studies, the results have been inconsistent. Therefore, it seems reasonable to further scrutinize the issue, particularly in the context of professionals, whose jobs involve creativity. The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between the need for cognitive closure and the level of creative and reproductive attitudes with the comprehension and design of complex spatial structures. The study involved 111 first-year students of Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture of the Cracow University of Technology. The results revealed that individuals with a low level of skills in design using geometric constructs had higher levels of reconstructive attitudes in the area of conformity and a lower level of the need for cognitive closure in the area of decisiveness than the ones with a high level of design skills, using geometric constructions. It was also found that as the level of the need for cognitive closure increased, the level of creative behaviour decreased; however, in participants with a high level of design skills using geometric constructions, it showed an upward trend. The results also indicated that the respondents held an average level of creative behaviour and a high level of conformity associated with a reproductive attitude, which is a worrying result as far as the future architects are concerned.

Związki pomiędzy stylem poznawczym a twórczością są tematem wielu badań, jednak nie przyniosły one do tej pory spójnych rezultatów. Zasadne więc wydaje się dalsze analizowanie tego zagadnienia, zwłaszcza w odniesieniu do osób, których zawód w dużej mierze związany jest z szeroko rozumianą twórczością. Celem badania było określenie związków potrzeby poznawczego domknięcia i poziomu postaw twórczych oraz odtwórczych z rozumieniem i projektowaniem złożonych struktur przestrzennych. W badaniu wzięło udział 111 studentów pierwszego roku kierunku architektura Wydziału Architektury Politechniki Krakowskiej. Przeprowadzone analizy wykazały, że osoby o niskich umiejętnościach projektowania wykorzystującego konstrukcje geometryczne miały wyższy poziom postawy odtwórczej w obszarze konformizmu oraz niższy poziom potrzeby poznawczego domknięcia w obszarze zdecydowania niż osoby o wysokich umiejętnościach projektowania wykorzystującego konstrukcje geometryczne. Okazało się również, że u tych osób wraz ze wzrostem poziomu potrzeby poznawczego domknięcia zmniejszał się poziom zachowań twórczych, natomiast u osób o wysokim poziomie umiejętności projektowania wykorzystującego konstrukcje geometryczne miał tendencję wzrostową. Wyniki wskazują również, że wśród badanych dominował przeciętny poziom zachowań twórczych i wysoki poziom konformizmu związanego z postawą odtwórczą, co stanowi wynik niepokojący w odniesieniu do przyszłych architektów.

Odnosząc się do „la maison du gardien-jardinier” Villi Savoye proponujemy projekt domu ogrodnika, w kilku znaczących „domach-manifestach” modernizmu. Konstrukcja o małych wymiarach, która pozwala na niezależne życie pary mieszkańców, zapewnia utrzymanie pierwszego domu, ze wszystkimi elementami koniecznymi do niezależnego życia podporządkowanego oryginalnemu projektowi. Następuje wznowienie nowoczesnego architektonicznego laboratorium produkującego „domy-manifesty”, które będą wchodzić w grę zarówno w porównaniu do unikalnych istniejących XX wiecznych i współczesnego XXI-wiecznego – siedliska minimum. Domy i krajobrazy zaprojektowane przez Aalto, Miesa, Neutra, Gray’a, Bo Bardi, Scharouna, Smithsona, da Roche, Codercha... ustanowią materialną bazę. Tekst łączy badania, interwencje w dziedzictwo i współczesną kreatywność.

Having as reference “la maison du gardien-jardinier” of the Villa Savoye, we propose a project for the gardener’s house, in some of the most significant “manifest-houses” of modernity. A construction of small dimensions that allow the autonomous life of a couple, that ensures the maintenance of the first house, with all the elements necessary for an independent life subordinate to the original project. A reissue of modern architectural laboratory that produced the “manifest-houses”, which will come into play both compared to the most unique architectural pre-existing twentieth century and contemporary architecture, the 21st century, a minimum habitat. Houses and landscapes designed by Aalto, Mies, Neutra, Gray, Bo Bardi, Scharoun, Smithson, da Rocha, Coderch... will constitute the material basis. An essay that integrates research, heritage intervention and contemporary creativity.

Dotarcie do rzeczywistości krajobrazu wymaga porzucenia selektywnego widzenia i myślenia wypracowanego przez nauki szczegółowe. Całościowy obraz świata proponuje sztuka i fenomenologia. Podjęte badania wykorzystują introspekcję i wynikający z niej opis własnych doświadczeń związanych z twórczością artystyczną będącą wynikiem kontemplacji krajobrazu, studium literatury i analizę rezultatów twórczości artystycznej, w tym własnej. Kontemplacja krajobrazu to warunek równowagi pomiędzy vita activa a vita contemplativa, kryterium pełniejszego jego rozumienia, będącego podstawą projektowania bycia w świecie. Proces kontemplacji krajobrazu odkrywa jego formy, znaczenia i wartości. Wśród form zapisu rezultatów kontemplacji wyróżnia się koncepcja St. Vincenza traktująca krajobraz jako „pismo światowe” a malarstwo jako najdoskonalszy sposób jego odczytania. Efektem przeprowadzonych prac badawczych jest opis procesu kontemplacji krajobrazu oraz opracowanie modelu identyfikacji, ujawnienia i sposobu zapisu ducha miejsca. Złożoność doświadczeń kontemplacji krajobrazu ujmuje prezentowany otwarty model graficzny, którego struktura może być rozwijana.

Reaching the reality of landscape requires giving up a selective way of seeing and thinking developed by disciplinary sciences. A holistic image of the world is offered by art and phenomenology. Conducted studies make use of introspection and, stemming from it, description of experiences connected with artistic activity which is the outcome of contemplation of landscape, study of literature and analysis of the results of artistic activity, including the very own one. Contemplation of landscape is the condition for the balance between vita activa and vita contemplativa; a criterion for its fuller understanding which is the basis of designing the existence in the world. The process of landscape contemplation unveils its forms, meanings and values. Among the forms of recording the results of contemplation, stands out the concept by Stanisław Vincenz treating landscape as a “world’s writing” and painting as the perfect way of interpreting it. The result of the conducted research is the description of the process of landscape contemplation and creating the model of identification and how to save the spirit of the place. The complexity of experiences of landscape contemplation is formulated by the presented open graphic model whose structure may be developed further.

The article presents an analysis of the design thinking process taking into consideration universal procedures and steps, starting from defining the problem, identifying needs, searching for solutions, prototyping and testing. There has recently been noticed the need to intensify the effectiveness of such proceedings – defined as Design Thinking. This method is intended for design in engineering, business and medicine - using concrete knowledge, leading to innovative solutions. This article also includes the Art of Design, with its specific features and much greater freedom of thinking. The main concern here are textiles as objects of design because of their direct contact with the human being, with his emotions, imagination and feelings, and therefore, in the analysis, the importance of these elements was stressed. Their awareness allows a more complete understanding of the thinking processes that occur in design, leading to the easier achievement of original innovative solutions.

W artykule przedstawiono analizę związaną z myśleniem projektowym uwzględniając stosowane uniwersalne procedury i kolejne kroki, zaczynając od definiowania problemu, identyfikacji potrzeb, poszukiwania rozwiązań, przygotowywania prototypów, ich testowania. Ostatnio pojawiają się potrzeby zintensyfikowania efektywności takich postępowań – Design Thinking. Skierowane jest ono na projektowanie inżynierskie, biznesowe, konkretne, prowadzące do rozwiązań innowacyjnych. Poniżej uwzględniono również projektowanie artystyczne z jego specyficznymi cechami i znacznie większą swobodą myślenia. Wykorzystanie tekstyliów jako obiektów projektowania jest ważne ze względu na bezpośredni kontakt wyrobu z człowiekiem, jego uczuciami, wyobraźnią, odczuciami, emocjami i dlatego w analizie podkreślono istotność tych elementów. Ich świadomość pozwala na pełniejsze rozumienie procesów myślowych występujących w projektowaniu, a w konsekwencji do szybszego i łatwiejszego osiągania rozwiązań oryginalnych, innowacyjnych.

Może to ułatwić wdrożenie systemu racjonalizatorskiego. Właśnie takie systemy są przedmiotem zainteresowania w prezentowanym artykule. Zostały w nim bowiem zidentyfikowane: cechy skutecznych systemów racjonalizatorskich, właściwości takich systemów funkcjonujących w organizacjach oraz skutki ich stosowania. Zrealizowano to na podstawie informacji zgromadzonych w wyniku przeglądu literatury przedmiotu.

Such systems are described in this article. Playing with transformations of a simple cube or plain sheet of paper using generative forming and folding is an exercise performed by first-year students at the Faculty of Architecture of the Silesian University of Technology in classes on single-family house design. The purpose of this architectural exercise is the search for inspiration and to stimulate students’ creative thinking. It is a kind of initiation for young people who from the school bench in high school go to study architecture. Young people surprise themselves with their inventiveness and creative maturity while maintaining a fresh outlook. How to use this potential? What tools can be used in teaching so that they can effectively assimilate new ways of working and master new tools? How can we help the adepts of the profession to find the moment of transition to a higher level of creative initiation and how can we motivate them towards further research? The first year of study at the Faculty of Architecture is a very important experience for young people and a responsible task for teachers.

Zabawa w przekształcanie prostej kostki sześciennej czy płaszczyzny kartki papieru metodą generatywnego formowania i metoda fałdowania – takie ćwiczenie wykonują studenci pierwszego roku Wydziału Architektury Politechniki Śląskiej w ramach zajęć z Projektowania domów jednorodzinnych. Celem tej architektonicznej zabawy jest poszukiwania inspiracji i pobudzenia ich kreatywnego myślenia. To rodzaj inicjacji dla młodych ludzi, którzy z ławki uczniowskiej w szkole średniej przechodzą na studia architektoniczne. Młodzi ludzie zaskakują swoją inwencją i twórczą dojrzałością, a jednocześnie świeżym spojrzeniem. W jaki sposób wykorzystać ten potencjał? Jakich narzędzi używać w pracy dydaktycznej, by mogli oni skutecznie przyswoić sobie nowe metody pracy i opanować nowe narzędzia? Jak pomóc adeptom zawodu, by moment przejścia na wyższy poziom wtajemniczenia był twórczy i motywował do dalszych poszukiwań? Pierwszy rok studiów na Wydziale Architektury jest dla młodych ludzi bardzo ważnym doświadczeniem, a dla nauczycieli akademickich odpowiedzialnym zadaniem.

However, a form of extreme game for the professional architect is participation in contests. I n these contests, projects should resemble a screenplay, an initial energy capable of generating a process.

Jednakowoż formą ekstremalnej gry dla profesjonalnego architekta jest udział w konkursach. Projekt konkursowy powinien przypominać scenariusz, stanowiący iskrę zapalną, zdolną pobudzać proces.

Celem artykułu jest zwrócenie uwagi na dwa pozornie odmienne podejścia do problematyki kształtowania formy architektonicznej: symboliczne i ekspresyjne, zarówno w kontekście ich konfrontacji, jak i symbiozy. Zastosowany symbol w sposób oczywisty sprzyja wytwarzaniu komunikatów wizualnych, natomiast eskalacja wyrazu zapobiega ucieczce w dosłowność i wzbogaca twórczość o pierwiastek indywidualny. Oba nurty komplementarnie tworzą mechanizm rozwoju języka nowoczesnej architektury, która naturalnie wymaga rozważania w szerszym kontekście kulturowym.

The article draws attention to two seemingly different approaches to the creation of an architectural form: the symbolic and the expressive, both in the context of their confrontation, and symbiosis. Symbol clearly supports the generation of the visual communication, while the escalation of the expression prevents a creativity from escaping in the literality and also it enriches the work of an individual element. Both those trends complementary creates the mechanism of modern architecture development, which obviously requires a consideration in the background of the extensive cultural context.

Autor artykułu, osobiście zaangażowany w te szczególne wydarzenia, korzystając z przykładów i doświadczeń trzech uznanych i docenionych, znakomitych osób – zasłużonych twórców i ludzi wysokiej kultury, ukazuje „między wierszami” trudne i meandryczne, ale też piękne i tchnące optymizmem - dzieje architektury i urbanistyki ostatnich kilkudziesięciu lat, zwłaszcza na gruncie Polski.

The article presents and analyses the personality and life's work of three extraordinary Polish architects that have lived and worked essentially on the domestic field. During the year 2014, which passes on as this article is being written, all three of our heroes have been awarded with honors and recognition due to their jubilees or other meritorious creative works - by the academic, professional and intellectual communities, in addition to receiving mentions by the leading media. The author of the article, who has been personally involved in these special events, attempts to illustrate - with the means of the experiences and examples of the works of these great men and people of high culture, in a kind of "between-the-lines" fashion - the difficult and meandering, and yet beautiful and optimistic history of architecture and urban planning of the past couple of decades, especially in Poland.
