In the article, we deal with the issue of knowledge management and its use in the Slovak Armed Forces (OS SR). The authors point to possible implementation of Knowledge management in the OS SR. A part of the article is an analysis of a conducted survey, which was focused on the results of the issue of Knowledge management with the aim of finding out how students, professional soldiers and employees apply their acquired knowledge and experience of Knowledge management in practice and, in particular, the manner in which they share it.

W artykule przedstawiono model ontologii wiedzy ukrytej w notacji UML dla działu serwisowego przedsiębiorstwa produkcyjnego. W pierwszej części artykułu została przeprowadzona analiza literatury przedmiotu w zakresie ontologii stosowanych dla reprezentacji wiedzy w przedsiębiorstwie. Następnie określono dziedzinę prezentowanej ontologii w oparciu o procedury serwisowe, strukturę zdefiniowanych procedur za pomocą notacji UML oraz skończony słownik wyrazów. W rozdziale czwartym pokazano przykład implementacji przedstawionej ontologii dla wybranej procedury serwisowej oraz wskazano kierunki dalszych prac autora.

In this article an ontology model of tacit knowledge based on UML approach for the service department in a manufacturing company is presented. The first part of the article presents the literature research in the field of an ontology construction model for the knowledge representation in the company. Then, the ontology-field based on service procedures, the ontology-structure using UML approach and the ontology-word taxonomy are formulated. Section four is an example of the implementation of the proposed ontology for the selected service procedure and indicates potential directions for further work.

Wiedza niejawna odgrywa istotną rolę w procesie kształtowania strategii realizowanych w obrębie szpitala specjalistycznego. Właściwa implikacja wiedzy niejawnej w procesie decyzyjnym intensyfikuje możliwość osiągnięcia zamierzonych efektów. Należy więc zwrócić szczególną uwagę na rozwiązania w zakresie zarządzania, które mogą maksymalizować pozytywny wpływ wykorzystania i dzielenia się wiedzą w publicznej placówce medycznej (szpitalu specjalistycznym). Jednym z takich rozwiązań może być wdrażanie w przestrzeni praktycznej założeń podejścia procesowego.

Tacit knowledge plays an essential role in shaping the strategy implemented within the specialized hospital (oncology center). Correct implementation of this knowledge in the decision making process enhance the achievement of specific goals. We should pay special attention to the management that could maximize the positive impact of using and sparing knowledge in a public healthcare facility. One of this solutions could be implementing in practice the process approach.

W artykule przedstawiono tematykę konwersji wiedzy ukrytej w wiedzę jawną na podstawie działu badawczo-rozwojowego w przedsiębiorstwie produkcyjnym. Sformułowano otoczenie problemu badawczego: w dziale B+R średniego przedsiębiorstwa produkcyjnego istnieje wiedza jawna i ukryta – zgromadzona w pracownikach umysłowych. W dziale realizowane są procesy biznesowe. Należy odpowiedzieć na pytanie: czy zastosowanie narzędzia wspomagającego podział wiedzy pomoże osiągnąć wymierne korzyści dla przedsiębiorstwa? Zidentyfikowano źródła wiedzy ukrytej w dziale badawczo-rozwojowym w przedsiębiorstwie produkcyjnym, następnie zaproponowano mechanizmy jej pozyskiwania. Zbadano wpływ charakterystyki pracownika na podział wiedzy ukrytej, co wpływa na wzrost know-how przedsiębiorstwa. W konsekwencji zaimplementowano algorytm Bayes’a. Model zilustrowano na przykładzie z praktyki gospodarczej. W efekcie zakłada się otrzymanie wymiernych korzyści z wynikające z podziału wiedzy, jak: redukcję kosztów, poprawek, reklamacji, szybsze zakończenie podobnego projektu i optymalny dobór kadry. W podsumowaniu pokazano kierunki dalszych prac obejmujące implementację informatyczną przedstawionego modelu oraz jego weryfikację.

Based on the reference works, in article have been showed knowledge’s conversion characteristic, based on the own research and development department in manufacturing company. Formulated surrounding the research problem: in section B+R medium manufacturing company, there is tacit and explicit knowledge gathered in the white-collar workers. In this department they are implemented business processes. It should answer the question: whether the use of a tool to support the knowledge sharing will help achieve tangible benefits for the company? It studied the effect of the characteristics of an employee on the tacit knowledge sharing, which increases on its know-how value in organization. The sources of tacit knowledge in the research and development department in a manufacturing company were identified, and then mechanisms of its collection were proposed. Consequently, Bayes’ algorithm was implemented. The model is illustrated by the example of business practice. As a result, it is assumed to receive measurable benefits, i.e. cost reduction, corrections, complaints and faster completion of a similar project, optimal selection of workers. In summary it presents directions for further work, including the IT implementation of the presented model and its verification.

This article attempts to create a model of converting tacit knowledge into explicit knowledge with Bayes algorithm for the research and development department in a manufacturing company. Based on the reference works, there have been proposed the characteristics of knowledge conversion process, with the focus on the factors supporting sharing tacit knowledge. The sources of tacit knowledge in the research and development department in a manufacturing company were identified, and then mechanisms of its collection were proposed. As a result, Bayes algorithm was implemented to perform the conversion process of the collected tacit knowledge into explicit knowledge. By stimulating knowledge workers to share tacit knowledge, the organisation increases its know-how value, by formalized specialist knowledge available for other procedures. The model is illustrated by the example of business practice. As a result, it is assumed to receive measurable benefits, i.e. reductions of cost, corrections, complaints and faster completion of a similar project, optimal selection of workers. It presents directions for further work, including the IT implementation of the presented model and its verification.

Sukces organizacji jest warunkowany m.in. jej zdolnością do stworzenia warunków dla spontanicznego powstawania nieformalnych i samoor-ganizujących się wspólnot wiedzy oraz ich wykorzystania na potrzeby tworzenia i dystrybucji wiedzy. W artykule przedstawiono możliwości wpływu organizacji macierzystej na kształtowanie wspólnot wiedzy za pomocą czynników osobowych i kontekstowych w obszarach: osobowym, interakcji, procesów wiedzy oraz inte-gracji z organizacją macierzystą.

A condition for organizational success is i. a. the ability to create a context in which informal and self-organizing entities like Communities of Knowledge would emerge in order to use them as a tool for knowledge creation and distribution in organization. The paper presents how organization can influ-ence forming and development of knowledge communities using personal and contextual factors in following dimensions: people, interactions, knowledge pro-cesses, and degree of integration with host organization.

The article uses social network structure and social network interactive as measure indicators, combining with the questionnaire investigation of behavioral science to discuss the effect mechanism of the social networks sharing with the tacit knowledge of knowledge-based government, meanwhile proposing a quantitative method to measure the influence of each members sharing with the tacit knowledge. Finally, the article provides a point of view that the similar function node fills up vacancies of social networks.

A systematic approach to occupational safety and health (OSH) management and concepts of knowledge management (KM) have developed independently since the 1990s. Most KM models assume a division of knowledge into explicit and tacit. The role of tacit knowledge is stressed as necessary for higher performance in an enterprise. This article reviews literature on KM applications in OSH. Next, 10 sections of an OSH management system (OSH MS) are identified, in which creating and transferring tacit knowledge contributes significantly to prevention of occupational injuries and diseases. The roles of tacit knowledge in OSH MS are contrasted with those of explicit knowledge, but a lack of a model that would describe this process holistically is pointed out. Finally, examples of methods and tools supporting the use of KM in OSH MS are presented and topics of future research aimed at enhancing KM applications in OSH MS are proposed.

The article presents first part of knowledge management systems construction methodology, based on application of artificial inteligence elements and particularly on application of expert systems. The starting point is the analysis of production knowledge resources, present in the company, which alow for realization of the basic aims in production preparation. Depending on the sources alocation, knowledge resources can be divided into basic groups of information about processes, systems and products. Intelectual capital of production companies with its constituent parts have been characterized as: the market, the organization, the human and the innovative capital. Coefficients were listed, with regard to monitoring of human capital, which al- low for changes forecasts in production processes. Knowledge management processes were described, taking place in production companies, including modes of purpose and knowledge evaluation. They include processes such as: locating, obtaining, development, distribution, use and preservation of knowledge. Production knowledge processing stages for the needs of the knowledge management system have been presented. The folowing stages have been distinguished: identification, conceptualisation, formalisation and implementation of the knowledge in the system. The methodology of construction requires a production knowledge management system model. The basic elements of this model are: database of the production system, module of production orders and the production knowledge base. This model wil be applied in production processes design for a given company type. It was the basis for elaboration of an expert system structure. This structure includes the following modules: determining and evaluation of intelectual capital, concluding, explanatory, generating and user dialogue. The system implementation proposed application of SPHINX - artificial inteligence package. The next part wil include test results, from tests to be carried out in a chosen group of production companies.

W artykule omówiono istotę łańcucha dane - informacja - wiedza i mądrość, gdzie dane posiadające kontekst są informacjami, a interpretacja informacji to wiedza. Ukazano podział wiedzy na ukrytą, związaną z ludźmi (tzw. japoński nurt myślenia o zarządzaniu), i dostępną, bliższą cywilizacji zachodniej, czyli amerykańskiemu sposobowi widzenia, będącą domeną komputerów. Przedstawiono cechy odróżniające wiedzę od tradycyjnych zasobów, takich jak: praca, ziemia, kapitał, ropa. Wskazano, że jakość informacji i wiedzy stanowi ważny element w podejmowaniu trafnych decyzji, co wpływa na poprawę efektywności i uzyskanie przewagi konkurencyjnej przez przedsiębiorstwo.

The article presents the issue of the data-information-knowledge-wisdom chain where data within a context constitute information whereas the interpretation of information translates into knowledge. In this article, knowledge has been presented in a twofold manner; as a covered one, characteristic of people, and known as a Japanese thought on management; and an accessible one, closer to a Western civilisation and to an American way of perception, characteristic of computers. The article points to features that differentiate knowledge from traditional resources: work, land, capital, oil. It also indicates that the quality of information and knowledge is an important element of taking accurate decisions process and consequently improves efficiency and helps in achieving competitive edge of an enterprise.

Both organization and individuals deal with and manage knowledge. Considering the basic approach, we distinguish two principal clusters: tacit and explicit knowledge. The knowledge management is targeted at making the organization knowledge operation more effective and providing the right people with relevant information at the right time. Knowledge and information uncertainty components have become one of crucial assets of any company or organization. Their crucial potential consists in smart knowledge management handling, proficiency and art to fit the risky market needs better than competitors.

Telecommunications requires multiple criteria analysis and decision support. It is shown how some basic facts from telecommunications and informational sciences can be used to formulate a rational theory of intuition, developed as a complement of multiple criteria decision support. This paper presents a method called creative space used for integrating various approaches to knowledge creation and based on SECI spiral, I5 system and rational theory of intuition. Questions of supporting new technology creation by constructing specialized creative environments similar to decision support environments are also indicated.

In one of the definitions is presented that "the knowledge is the capability to effective action". But a knowledge has many dimensions, one of the most important is the tacit knowledge included automatically to general knowledge of people. In other explanation is said that "tacit" means: "to know more as we can say". This interesting consideration with additional scientific and practical discussions (examples) are here demonstrated. The present system of education is compared with the model educative system demonstrating corresponding differences. The conclusions present the role of informative technologies as well.
