Currently, a dynamic growth of interest in residential buildings located on the water can be observed in Poland. However, the lack of legal regulations, the increase in society's affluence and overpopulation in city centers lead to reflection on the development strategy that should be implemented for maritime construction. The publication presents a proposal of four development strategy concepts: aggressive, conservative, competitive and defensive, developed for floating homes (FHs) based on the authors' own research. The strategy concept that, in the authors' opinion, should be implemented was indicated using the TOWS-SWOT analysis. A detailed analysis revealed that the strategy that obtained the highest result in the study was the aggressive strategy.

Rozwój przedsiębiorstwa, a jednocześnie całej branży związany jest z opracowaniem, a następnie osiąganiem założeń strategicznych poprzez określone zmiany (jakościowe i ilościowe), które powinny przyczyniać się do budowania przewagi konkurencyjnej tych organizacji w dłuższej perspektywie czasu. Istotne znaczenie ma w tym ujęciu skuteczność strategii rozwojowych podmiotów z branży TSL. Należy zaznaczyć szczególne znaczenie szeroko rozumianych przewozów towarowych i wpływ ich funkcjonowania na działalność pozostałych sektorów gospodarki. Celem badawczym jest opracowanie prognozy zmian liczby przedsiębiorstw branży TSL i określenie założeń strategii rozwojowej tych podmiotów w latach 2020–2024. Na podstawie przeprowadzonych badań wykazano, że w latach 2020–2024 powinien wystąpić wzrost liczby podmiotów od 158 742 do 168 032 (o 5,85%). Dodatkowo na podstawie analizy SWOT można wskazać, że podmioty z branży TSL powinny obrać w najbliższych latach kierunek strategiczny „maxi-maxi”, który zakłada ukierunkowanie na dynamiczny rozwój.

The development of the enterprise and, at the same time, the entire industry is associated with the development and then achievement of strategic assumptions through specific changes (qualitative and quantitative) that should contribute to building the competitiveness and competitive advantage of these organizations in the long run. The effectiveness of development strategies of entities from the TSL sector is important in this approach. The aim of the article is to forecast changes in the number of enterprises in the TSL sector and to define the development strategy of these entities in 2020-2024. The conducted research shows that in the years 2020-2024 there should be an increase in the number of entities from 158742 to 168032 (increase by 5.85%). Additionally, the SWOT analysis indicates that entities from the TSL industry should choose the “maxi-maxi” strategy in the coming years, which assumes focusing on dynamic development.

This paper addresses the subject of the reference frames of territorialisation processes determined by local development initiatives. Its purpose is to offer a survey on a central issue: which spatial frames of reference influence or justify the choices of LAGs in the definition and delimitation of local development spaces. The paper is about the case of Sicily, presenting some possible interpretations of an evolution of the development space from “institutional space” to “space of resources and vocations”. The paper will highlight the relation between the spaces of natural parks and the spaces of LAGs in the Participatory Local Development Strategies.

Określono potencjalne obszary rozwojowe w geodezji i kartografii oraz zaproponowano program przedsięwzięć zmierzających do włączenia się dyscypliny geodezja i kartografia w realizację strategii oraz programów operacyjnych realizowanych na poziomie Unii Europejskiej oraz Polski.

The subject of this work are potential sources of financing for the development areas of geodesy and cartography, description of these sources, priority axes and the specific goals associated with their implementation. There have been specified the roles and the position of the „geodesy and cartography” discipline in implementation of the programs and strategies presented. Additionally, there have been defined potential development areas of geodesy and cartography and a project of initiatives leading to incorporation of the geodesy and cartography discipline into UE and Polish operational programs has also been proposed.

The Turkish textile and apparel industry is losing ground as a global player. This forces it to make a careful future analysis to determine the road map ahead and to develop appropriate strategies. Since long term success heavily depends on the development and implementation of strategies that best respond to future requirements for achieving objectives, this study aims to develop strategies for the Turkish apparel industry and determine key strategies among them with a procedure that enables users to make a strategy assessment. For this aim, an approach involving scenario development and strategy appraisal is proposed and applied to the Turkish apparel industry. After describing the general framework of the application, main issues and findings are summarised for the industry and companies acting in the field.

Turecki przemysł tekstylny i odzieżowy traci swoją wiodącą pozycję. Wymusza to staranną analizę przyszłych działań dla określenia kierunku rozwoju i opracowania odpowiednich strategii. Ponieważ długotrwający sukces silnie zależy od rozwoju i wprowadzenia strategii, które najlepiej odpowiadałyby przyszłym wymaganiom dla uzyskania sukcesu w artykule opracowano scenariusze dla przemysłu i dla firm działających w tym przemyśle.

Jednym z warunków opracowania dobrej strategii rozwoju jest to, aby powstawała na zasadach partnerskich a jej właścicielami byli wszyscy uczestnicy procesów rozwojowych w danej Jednostce Samorządu Terytorialnego. Komunikacja wizualna wydaje się doskonałą płaszczyzną prowadzenia dialogu pomiędzy partnerami wywodzącymi się z różnych środowisk. Miasta na prawach powiatu w Polsce są prekursorami ilustrowania planów pozastatutowych. Obecnie stosowany jest stosunkowo wąski wachlarz instrumentów graficznych. Badania wykazały, że nastawienie samorządowców do komunikacji wizualnej w strategiach jest bardzo pozytywne, a bariery w stosowaniu są do pokonania, można przypuszczać, iż kolejne aktualizacje dokumentów będą bogatsze w warstwie graficznej.

One of the key conditions for creating a good development strategy is the stakeholders’ partnership and their shared ownership at the implementation stage. Visual communication seems to be tailored for facilitating dialogue between partners with a variety of professional background and representing different interests. Cities with powiat status are leading the trend of illustrating non statutory planning documents. There is a relatively narrow range of graphics applied. The research results indicated that Polish local government officials have positive attitude towards visual communication, therefore new editions of local strategies are expected to use graphics more extensively.

Strategie rozwoju terytorialnego, zgodnie z zasadami rozwoju regionalnego powinny być formułowane na zasadach partnerstwa społecznego. W praktyce oznacza to, że dokumenty te powinny być formułowane w sposób prosty i klarowny oraz wprowadzenie zróżnicowanych środków przekazu. Samorządy w Polsce stopniowo dokonują zwrotu ku zwięzłej komunikacji planów, jednak rola przekazu graficznego jest marginalizowana. Tymczasem ilustracja jest bardzo skuteczną formą komunikacji i instrumentem kształtowania polityki rozwoju.

Development strategies, according to regional policies, should be based on community partnership. In practice it means that documents should be simple and comprehensible, also through application of various communication methods. Local Authorities in Poland gradually evolve towards concise development plans, but a role of graphic expression is marginal. However illustrations are very effective form of communication and influencing development policies.

Changes taking place in the technology of sulphuric acid manufacture are rather small, which seems to convince that all problems have been solved. According to the new development strategies, the product development focuses on as much as possible parallel execution of all development related product life cycle phases, thus creating CE (Concurrent Engineering) approach. Its further extension is CEE (Cross Enterprises Engineering) approach incorporating the relations between business and engineering activities, so securing also the access to the resources of cooperating enterprises. Computer integration of product phases can be viewed as functional, informational and complex integration. The process planning quality is assured on the design and technological process planning stage with the use of methods and systems processing the data from the other product development phases. The paper presents the methods and systems for design and process planning quality assurance in the product life cycle as well as the possibility for the implementation of the presented product development phases.

W porównaniu z pozostałymi województwami, w województwie małopolskim znajduje się największa liczba uzdrowisk statutowych i miejscowości, w których realizowane jest lecznictwo uzdrowiskowe. W większości przypadków uzdrowiska te znajdują się na terenach prawnie chronionych z uwagi na istniejące zasoby środowiska przyrodniczego. Stąd możliwości realizowania innych działalności w tych miejscowościach są dodatkowo ograniczone. Obecnie stan zagospodarowania i urządzenia przestrzeni w większości uzdrowisk województwa małopolskiego nie pozwala na bardziej konkurencyjny, w stosunku do uzdrowisk słowackich, rozwój funkcji lecznictwa balneologicznego. Zawarte w dokumentach planistycznych zapisy o konieczności zwiększenia usług wypoczynkowo-turystycznych zaowocowały, w strategii opracowanej dla grupy uzdrowisk popradzkich przez Państwową Agencję Rozwoju Turystyki, licznymi propozycjami rozwoju tej funkcji, również dla ruchu masowego.Realizacje tych pomysłów przewidziano przede wszystkim w istniejącej przestrzeni leczniczej. Aplikacje o realizacje tych projektów z funduszy unijnych będą sprzyjały dalszemu przekształcaniu uzdrowisk w miejscowości wypoczynkowe i utrudnią prawidłową funkcję procesów leczniczych. Tak więc w tym przypadku fundusze unijne mogą stanowić zagrożenie dla prawidłowego rozwoju funkcji lecznictwa uzdrowiskowego w miejscowościach doliny Popradu.

The biggest number of statutory health-resorts and cities of spa health care is located in małopolskie voivodship. In most cases those spas are situated in areas legally protected due to environmental resources. Therefore possibilities of other activities realization are additionally limited in these cities. At present the state of spatial development and arrangement in most health-resorts of małopolskie voivodship doesn't allow more competitive, comparing to Slovak health-resorts, development of the balneologic treatment. The regulations concerning the necessity of increase in holiday-touristic services, included in the planning documents, resulted in numerous propositions - expressed in the strategy prepared for the group of Poprad health-resorts by National Agency of Tourism Development - of this function's development, also for mass movement. These ideas are expected to be realized, above all, in the existing health care space.Applications for realization of these projects using EU funds will be favourable for further transformation of the health-resorts into holiday resorts and will hinder proper realization of health care processes. In this case EU funds may endanger proper development of spa health care function in the cities of the Poprad valley.

Funkcjonowanie polskich przedsiębiorstw transportowych w ramach struktur rynkowych Unii Europejskiej stawia przed tymi podmiotami gospodarczymi zdecydowanie nowe wyzwania. Znakomita większość przedsiębiorstw, stanowiących bazowe struktury rynku usług transportowych Polski, nie zdołała bowiem jeszcze pomyślnie zakończyć transformacji systemowej, jaką przyniosły ze sobą lata 90-te XX wieku. Stąd też powstaje problem kierunków i zasad przekształceń mechanizmów ekonomicznych polskich przedsiębiorstw transportowych wobec perspektyw, jakie niesie ze sobą właśnie wspólny rynek europejski.

Systemic transformation of Polish economy had an impact on the widespread implementation of the competition effect between companies. It was the necessity of adjusting the goals of entities to market changes. Transport companies had taken effort to achieve their good competitiveness position on the domestic market. On the monopoly market the competitiveness position of companies is depending on the administrative decision. Still open is the problem of regulating the conditions in the transport sector.
