The paper presents an iterative identification method dedicated for industrial processes. The method consists of two steps. In the first step, a MISO system is identified with the Modulating Functions Method to obtain sub-models with a common denominator. In the second step, the obtained subsystems are re-identified. This procedure enables to obtain the set of models with different denominators of the transfer functions. The algorithm was used for on-line identification of a glass conditioning process. Identification window is divided into intervals, in which the models can be updated based on recent process data, with the use of the integral state observer. Results of the performed simulations for the identified models are compared with the historical process data.
The study presents results and procedure of object-oriented and test-driven implementation of neural-network-based state estimator. The presented algorithm has been developed for estimation of the state variables of the mechanical part of electric drive with elastic coupling. Estimated state variables – load speed and shaft stiffness torque – can be used in speed control process for reducing mechanical vibrations of working machine. The basic objective was to create a simple, extensible and readable program code, performing the task of state estimation of the considered system. The target platform is a DSP (Digital Signal Processor) from SHARC (Super Harvard architecture Single-Chip Computer) family, which allows for hardware acceleration of matrix operations. The IDE (Integrated Development Environment) available for the selected platform made it possible to write program in C++. The usage of UML (Unified Modelling Language) in the development of control software was discussed.

W pracy przebadano układy sterowania wielowymiarowego, wykorzystujące obserwatory zbudowane na podstawie filtru Kalmana, rozszerzony filtr Kalmana, filtr ciągły Kalmana-Bucy i obserwator nieliniowy.

The article presents the results of simulation tests of the multidimensional ship motion control system with different types of observers. The mathematical model of ship dynamics is based on the model of the training ship “Blue Lady” used for training captains in the Manoeuvring Centre of the Foundation for Sailing Safety and Environment Protection on the lake Silm in Ilawa/Kamionka. The algorithm of the multidimensional control of ship motion over water surface makes use of the state vector consisting of 6 variables, three of which are measured, including the position coordinates (x, y) measured by GPS, and the ship heading ψ measured by the gyro-compass. The three remaining variables, i.e. u – surge velocity, v – sway velocity, and r – yaw velocity are estimated. The objects of tests were the multidimensional control systems making use of estimators constructed based on the discrete Kalman filter, the extended Kalman filter, the continuous Kalman-Buca filter, and the nonlinear observer.
Klasyczne obserwatory stanu dane równaniem różniczkowym (filtr Kalmana, obserwator Luenbergera) estymują stan liniowego układu dynamicznego asymptotycznie w oparciu o bieżące pomiary wejścia i wyjścia obiektu.

Classical state observers given by differential equation (Kalman Filter, Luenberger observer) based on current measurements of system input and output, estimate the state of linear system in asymptotic way. For observable system there exists another methodology of designing state observers which gives however exact reconstruction of state and is based on integral equation. Such type of observer represents finite moving measurement window. Because of possible huge amount of computation within the window not for all on-line application this algorithm is suitable. Hence the new method for exact observation algorithm in the form of differential equation is presented. This algorithm is equivalent to integral observer. The use of finite memory and equation with delay enables solution of differential equation on-line, and decreases significantly the need of computation power under fulfillment of exactness of state reconstruction.

One of the most important system characteristics in the drive engineering is the torque generated from the prime motor on electromagnetic way, i.e. the so-called air gap torque in case of three-phase a.c. drive. Unfortunately it is not possible to measure the air-gap torque directly. Besides, the easy measurable stator current space vector, the actual value of the stator flux linkage space vector or rotor flux linkage space vector in phase angle and amplitude must be known for estimation of the air-gap torque. Therefore it has to be simulated by a model o fan asynchronous machine. Firstly, this article deals with the development and test of a torque observer for asynchronous machines. The observer is based on well-known u\-n- model of the asynchronous machine in the stator reference frame. The motor model considers the side effects like main flux saturation, iron losses and stray losses in order to improve the torque estimation. The observer is supplemented by aparallel \\n-model since the u\,n-model is physically unsuitable in the range of lower speed (stator frequencies). Thus, the air-gap torque can be estimated in the steady operation and dynamic operation with a high precision. The occurred error is smaller than 1 % of the nominal torque. In the speed range n> 0,1. The observer is insensitive to parameter deviations of 20%, which are expected in practice. The time characteristics of the torque can be estimated exactly in cases of hard dynamic operation, such as the periodical reversing or the full-voltage starting. Furthermore, an observer for the two-mass-system is developed which is able to reconstruct both the torsional torque and the load torque stationarily and dynamically.

Poprzez pomiar łatwo dostępnych pomiarowo prądów i napięć obwodów stojana, a stąd wyliczonego wektora strumienia skojarzonego, możliwe jest pośrednie wyznaczenie momentu. To wyznaczenie bazuje na konkretnym modelu zjawisk w maszynie. Niniejsza praca prezentuje stworzony obserwator momentu maszyny indukcyjnej i wyniki jego testów.

A multi-objective Pareto-optimisation procedure for the design of residual generators which constitute a primary instrument for model-based fault detection and isolation (FDI) in systems of plant monitoring and control is considered. An evolutionary approach to the underlying multi-objective optimisation problem is utilised. The resulting robust observer detector allows for FDI, taking into account the issue of false alarms.
