W artykule przedstawiono możliwości wykorzystania metod symulacji wielodomenowych układów fizycznych na przykładzie naczepy typu wywrotka. Te metody pozwalają na przyspieszoną budowę modeli złożonych obiektów fizycznych. W niniejszym opracowaniu zaprezentowano fragment modelu stworzonego na potrzeby badania stabilności naczepy podczas rozładunku.

This paper presents the case of application of multidomain physical systems modelling techniques in the area of heavy transport vehicles. The presented techniques allow for faster developing of complex physical systems models. The paper presents portions of the model built for simulating the stability of semi-trailer dumper during tipping.

Many traffic accidents are due to an incorrect assessment of the current situation by the driver of the vehicle. With correct assessment of the situation, the driver has also to take into account a number of other factors. This article focuses on some of these factors such as the vehicle load, vehicle speed and curve radius. The first part of the article deals with the position of the vehicle center of gravity (CG), which has a major impact on the driving characteritics of the vehicle. The paper demonstrates the calculation of the maximum speed of a car model and truck model (without load and with load) when cornering. The center of gravity has an effect on the vehicle axles load distribution, and thereby on braking forces. This issue is dealt with in the second part of the paper. In the last part the calculation of the braking force as a function of the adhesion coefficient of the tires depending on the road surface is mentioned. The importance of the contribution consists in quantifying the impact of vehicle load on its driving characteristics.

A probability for a vehicle to overturn when climbing a hill or when going straight downhill is rather small because the design of vehicles makes them sufficiently stable with respect to a longitudinal bank. When the vehicle is loaded and moving uphill, its rear (driving) wheels receive a substantial additional load, while the load on the front wheels decreases. Consequently, the decreased traction of the front wheels diminishes the control of the vehicle, and it can also become completely uncontrollable. The article investigates the influence of a mountainous terrain to the controllability of vehicles. Situations commonly arising during exploitation of vehicles in mountainous areas are analyzed. Theoretical calculations of sideslip angles are illustrated by examples of recent accidents of military patrol cars in Afghanistan. Realistic estimates of safe driving speeds are presented. The main reason for the high rate of accidents is found to be an overly high center of mass of reinforced vehicles under consideration.

The paper presents the problem of reducing the impact of inflation pressure on the tires, and the weight distribution of the vehicle on the road. The results presented in this publication are based on the research bench and passenger vehicle equipped with antilock braking system. Bench testing was conducted stiffness of tires and road tests, performing maneuvers based on ISO standards, braking in the straight patch of road and of the twisting road.

W publikacji przedstawiono zagadnienie wpływu obniżenia ciśnienia w oponie na charakterystykę opon, rozkład nacisków i zachowanie się pojazdu na drodze. Wyniki prezentowane w publikacji oparto na badaniach stanowiskowych i drogowych samochodu osobowego wyposażonego w układ zapobiegający blokowaniu kół. Przeprowadzono badania stanowiskowe sztywności opon oraz badania drogowe, polegające na wykonywaniu manewrów opartych na normach ISO: hamowania na prostoliniowym odcinku oraz na łuku drogi.

The paper describes the process of dynamic rollover stability research carried out at the Department of Transport Means of Jan Perner Transport Faculty. The paper is focused especially on stability of heavy tank vehicles and the influence of sloshing liquids inside the tank on it. Firstly the current state of research in this field is characterised and main problems are marked. A description of techniques used to acquire real data for the simulation model of the Tatra T148 CAP tank truck and experimental methods proposed for tuning and verification of the model follow. The final objective is to exactly describe processes preceding the total rollover and the influence of sloshing liquids on the rollover stability of tank vehicles.

W referacie opisano próbę stworzenia uniwersalnego algorytmu działania układu ESP, który umożliwiałby zachowanie stabilności pojazdu dla większości sytuacji drogowych występujących w warunkach rzeczywistych. Pokazano jego strukturę, jak również zwrócono uwagę na parametry dynamiki pojazdu, które mają w algorytmie znaczenie decyzyjne. Uzasadniono wybór wielkości regulowanych. Praca zawiera weryfikacje numeryczną działania algorytmu na uproszczonym modelu pojazdu o dziewięciu stopniach swobody, jak również przedstawia jego realizację praktyczna dla przypadku autobusu dalekobieżnego Jelcz PR110D.

The development of electronic engineering and computer science caused increasing of on-board electronic units which are installed in every new car. Some of them are responsible for improving safety level of passengers, in a way, which does not allow to lead vehicle to lose its stability. The most sophisticated devices can keep stability of vehicle during curvilinear movement. They are called Electronic Stability Control (ESP). The car companies don.t publish any information about algorithms of ESP and professional literature contains only the basic information about this unit. That.s why the algorithm of ESP is still commonly unknown. The paper describes the universal algorithms of ESP which contains as many traffic cases as possible. The structure of algorithm was shown. The authors have paid attention to parameters of vehicle.s dynamic, which have decisional meaning. The numerical and experimental verification was enclosed.
