Technologia wykonywania głębokich konstrukcji oporowych przy pomocy ścian szczelinowych jest coraz powszechniej wykorzystywana, zarówno w budownictwie specjalistycznym, jak i mieszkaniowym.

The construction of deep retaining walls using slurry walls is a several-stage process, among the most basic of which is the deepening of the excavation protected by a stabilizing fluid, most often a bentonite suspension. Further stages of construction consist of clearing the trench floor, placing the reinforcement, and cementing, during which the stabilizing fluid often comes into contact with the cement resulting in contamination of the cement and changes in the characteristics of the fluid. All types of stabilizing fluid can be contaminated in this way, both bentonite and polymer-based fluids.
