Purpose: The first purpose of this article is to identify and compare the validity of features of the offer for the customer in the area of distribution from the point of view of dairy cooperatives from Poland from the Świętokrzyskie and Małopolskie provinces, which are adjacent to each other. Design/methodology/approach: Direct interviews using a questionnaire survey were conducted among representatives of cooperatives representing 41% of the population, which resulted from the willingness to participate in the survey. Findings: The analysis of the research results, taking into account the mean for all customers, show that the indicated features of the offer for the customer in the distribution area were considered by cooperatives from both provinces as very important (there was only one feature that was not indicated by all cooperatives). Originality/value: The comparison of the validity of features of the offer for the customer in the area of distribution of selected cooperatives from two different voivodeships.

Purpose: The aim of the article is to identify activities creating value for the customer in the area of sales marketing and to compare them between the two neighboring voivodships, namely Świętokrzyskie and Małopolskie. Design/methodology/approach: Direct interviews using a questionnaire survey were conducted among representatives of cooperatives representing 41% of the population, which resulted from the willingness to participate in the survey. Findings: The analysis of the research results, taking into account two voivodships shows that although sales marketing activities have an impact on customer value, most of them are not carried out by all cooperatives. Moreover, in the case of other major markets, no action is taken. In most cases, the voivodship in which the cooperatives operate differentiates the undertaken activities. Research limitations/implications: A limitation of the research is the range. It results from the fact that only cooperatives from two voivodships, namely Świętokrzyskie and Małopolskie were researched here. In addition, the research results are limited to one organizational and legal form of enterprises, i.e. cooperatives. It seems reasonable that further research should be at least nationwide and cover various organizational and legal forms of enterprises. Practical implications: Analysis of the results allows enterprises’ management to be more aware of the need of analyzing activities in the field of marketing sales more often, as it affects the value to the customer. Such awareness allows them to take appropriate steps to increase the scope of taken actions, and thus affect the value for the customer to a greater extent than the competition. Originality/value: The comparison of market activities in the sphere of sales marketing of selected cooperatives from two different voivodships.

The research aimed to examine Latvian grain cooperatives in terms of their performance and causes of development problems. The research employed several approaches, including a monographic method, induction and deduction, comparison, graphical method, statistical analysis, cause and consequence analysis and a sociological research method in the form of structured expert survey and interviews. The research examined the theory on cooperative development in Latvia and the world, analysed the Latvian grain production industry and made a statistical analysis of the performance of grain cooperatives. The total output of cereals was affected by the total area cropped with cereals, which was proved by the correlation coefficient r = 0.90. An increase in the area used for cereals leads to an increase in the total cereal output. The correlation coefficient showed a strong relationship between independent and dependent variables. Structured interviews with experts allowed the authors to identify the factors that hinder the development of grain cooperatives in Latvia. The industry experts identified the technological factor, i.e., poorly developed agricultural processing. As possible causes of the previously identified problem, experts identified a lack of financial resources, the unclear market situation, workforce problems, additional costs, and a lack of initiative in identifying new opportunities. The expert method helped to identify the most significant problem for the development of Latvian grain cooperatives and the underlying causes. The research allows drawing the attention of policymakers to the main problem regarding the development of grain cooperatives, namely, the technological factor of underdeveloped grain processing. The cooperatives did not own processing enterprises, which was mainly due to an unclear situation in the sales market.

The management of contemporary health systems is a problem of many countries, which consists not only of issues related to the establishment of the roles of institutions involved in their functioning, the allocation of funds, asymmetry of information, or access to health services. Problems of the all system often result from faulty management of particular health institutions, and more specifically from the lack of agreement between the management staff, medical staff and patients. The proposed study is an attempt to systematize the roles assigned recently to physicians and patients on the one hand, on the other - a presentation of non-standard solutions in this area, which are the existing cooperatives in health care in the world. The issue of jointly implemented by both groups of objectives and adaptation of the idea of cooperatives to the management process was justified by the theory of common pool resources and the game theory.

The main aim of this article is to demonstrate the ability of cooperatives to create internal resources of a region through foreign direct investments and the creation of financial, physical, human, and social capital. It concerns the comparing and emphasizing of the stability of resources created in a region by these forms of action. In order to demonstrate the stability of internal resources of a region, generated through foreign direct investment, a research was conducted involving the analysis of the rankings of the largest foreign investors in Poland, statistical data from the Central Statistical Office and the NBP, showing the inflow and outflow of FDIs, the number of companies with foreign capital participation, and the number of people working in them. In addition, a case study was used for the regions where the investments have been withdrawn, showing the importance of cooperatives for the stabilization of the potential of the regions. The study shows that the transfer of FDIs is always guided by the maximization of profit, tax optimization of a location, and the native currency exchange rate fluctuations. The following consequences of withdrawal have no significance to foreign investors but affect the regions: the increase in the unemployment rate, the reduction in the income of local residents, the increase in debt, the acquisition of real estate purchased on credit. The case study shows that cooperative enterprises can replace foreign capital in the region, ensuring the stability and durability of its internal resources. The concepts and strategies for regional development should focus on cooperatives as a way to create the internal resources of a region, which are seen as the current development source. Co-operatives can prevent the leaching of resources and backwash effects. The economic policy must ensure the equal treatment of all of the entities investing in the region. Currently, Poland gives the priority to foreign investors over the domestic ones. Cooperative enterprises are particularly discriminated against through double taxation. It is worthwhile to examine the scale of the cooperative movement in the economy of the EU and the US and the policy instruments applied to this form of business in those areas.
