Port Lotniczy Rzeszów-Jasionka wraz z parkiem technologicznym Aeropolis tworzy zwarty układ przestrzenny o intensywnej zabudowie. Trwająca od dwóch dekad urbanizacja obszaru dostarcza wiedzy na temat mechanizmów rządzących rozwojem przedsięwzięć odpowiadających modelowi Airport City. Przeprowadzone badania pozwalają na wskazanie pozytywnych stron omawianego procesu, do których należy zaliczyć ogólną strategiczną kontrolę planistyczną nad obszarem. Do zjawisk negatywnych należy pomijanie zasad kompozycji urbanistycznej i brak w realizowanej zabudowie wartości w postaci elementów o cechach miejskich.

Rzeszów Jasionka Airport, together with the Aeropolis technology park, create a compact spatial arrangement with intensive development. The urbanization of the area, which has been going on for two decades, provides knowledge about the mechanisms governing the development of projects corresponding to the Airport City model. The conducted research allows to indicate the positive sides of the discussed process, which include overall strategic planning control over the area, but also negative phenomena consisting in ignoring the principles of urban composition and the lack of the expected spatial values of the progressing development with urban features.

Oszacowano efekty energetyczno-ekologiczne eksploatowanego sytemu fotowoltaicznego w Parku Naukowo-Technologicznym „Silesia".

The technical-energy infrastructure used in the Science and Technology Park „Silesia" in Katowice was characterized. The program and results of the photovoltaic system research are presented. The energy and ecological effects of the operated photovoltaic system in the Science and Technology Park „Silesia" were estimated.

W lutym 2013 oddano do użytku jeden z największych kompleksów biurowo-wystawienniczych w Polsce. Kompleks ten oferuje niemal 44 tys. metrów kwadratowych powierzchni użytkowej przeznaczonej dla mającego rozwijać się w kraju biznesu w integracji nauki z przemysłem, jako wsparcia dla dynamicznej przedsiębiorczości.

In February 2013, one of the largest science and technology parks in Poland was opened. It was designed with the aim of supporting partnership co-operation between science and industry, stimulating establishment and development of innovation-oriented enterprises. The expansion project was made by AEC Krymow&Partners architects. The Pomeranian Science and Technology Park aims to revive a dormant area of Gdynia Redłowo and to create an urban building open to the public. As one of the largest complexes of this kind, PSTP offers office space, laboratories, workshops, conference rooms, prototyping area, as well as ground-floor commercial functions: shops and services. The building consists of five glass blocks connected to the common thorough-fare hallways including stairways and elevators. The second building, named "Experiment", where the seat of the Center of Science is located houses exhibition and conference premises.

Artykuł przedstawia definicję parku naukowo-technologicznego jako organizacji zarządzanej przez wykwalifikowaną kadrę, która stymuluje i zarządza przepływem wiedzy oraz nowych technologii pomiędzy uniwersytetami, instytucjami badawczo-rozwojowymi oraz przedsiębiorstwami. Na podstawie doświadczeń parków działających w Europie Zachodniej i Północnej autor określa potencjał rozwojowy parków naukowo-technologicznych na obszarze Aglomeracji Górnośląskiej. Dobrze funkcjonujący park N-T warunkuje konkurencyjność przestrzeni miejskiej i stymuluje stabilny rozwój ekonomiczny miasta. Szczególne korzyści z takiej współpracy mogą odnieść miasta i aglomeracje będące w stanie transformacji.

The article presents the definition of the Science and Technology Parks as organizations managed by highly-qualified staff that stimulate and manage the flow of knowledge between universities, institutes of development and companies. The author studies the examples of S/T parks in Western and Northern Europe in order to define the potential of Science and Technology Parks' development in the area of Silesia Agglomeration. S/T Parks make the city spatial structure more competitive and stimulate the economic development of the city. The co-operation between S/T Park and the city or agglomeration can be beneficial, especially for cities being in a process of transformation.
