Niniejszy artykuł został poświęcony zagadnieniom związanym z rekreacją i wypoczynkiem we współczesnych założeniach architektoniczno-urbanistycznych. W prezentowanych przestrzeniach miejskich i pozamiejskich istotną rolę pełni ekologiczna, a zarazem ekspresyjna forma architektoniczna, która powiązana ze środowiskiem przyrodniczym, kształtuje atrakcyjną przestrzeń rekreacyjną. Kompozycja różnorodnie kształtowanych założeń architektonicznych i urbanistycznych, nawiązuje do krajobrazu miejskiego lub naturalnego, w którym rekreacja i wypoczynek zajmują nadrzędne miejsce, tworząc optymalne i wymarzone miejsce dla człowieka.

This article has been devoted to matters associated with rest and recreation in contemporary architectural and urban layouts. Eco-friendly and expressive architectural form, which, in combination with the natural environment, creates an attractive recreational space, plays an essential role in the urban and non-urban spaces that have been presented. The composition of the diversely shaped architectural and urban complexes features references to either the urban or the natural landscape, one in which rest and recreation take centre stage, creating an optimal and highly desirable place for man.

Rodzinne Ogrody Działkowe (ROD) od ponad stu lat stanowią miejsce wypoczynku mieszkańców miast. W szczycie popularności (koniec lat 80. XX w.) ich udział w powierzchni największych miast Polski sięgał 2–5%. Odgrywają one istotną rolę i pełnią liczne funkcje w przestrzeni miejskiej. Od około 30 lat następuje ich powolne wypieranie z tej przestrzeni. Celem niniejszego opracowania jest przedstawienie zagrożeń dla Rodzinnych Ogrodów Działkowych ze strony dynamicznego procesu urbanizacji wielkich miast w Polsce.

Family Allotment Gardens (ROD) have been a place of rest for urban residents for over a hundred years. At the peak of its popularity (the end of the 1980s), their share in the area of the largest Polish cities reached 2–5%. They play an important role and perform numerous functions in the urban space. For about 30 years, they have been slowly displacing from the urban space. The aim of this study is to present the threats to Family Allotment Gardens from the dynamic urbanization process of big cities in Poland.

The issues of efficiency improvement of manufacturing crankshafts in order to ensure their reliability and performance criteria are the priorities in modern production of internal combustion engines. Using the capabilities of modern special grinding machines can improve the quality of machining and obtain the necessary running characteristics of crankshafts. In work the questions connected with development of a method of calculation of rigidity of crankshafts for increase of accuracy of their machining, reliability and performance criteria’s are considered. Based on the proposed methodology, numerical calculations have performed and the possibility of determining the deflections and crankshafts rigidity in any section have been justified. The original construction of the following grinding steady rest for CNC grinding machines specified for machining the crankshaft main bearing journal and connecting rod journal is proposed. The construction design of the device allows for compensating the influence of the cutting force on the elastic strain of the part, depending on the change in its rigidity. The practical value of the research includes in develop recommendations for determining the optimal parameters for the round infeed grinding cycle of the crank pins from the point of view of productivity and accuracy.

Artykuł przedstawia propozycje poszerzenia funkcji parku miejskiego w celu zapewnienia użytkownikom możliwości podejmowania różnych form aktywności i atrakcyjnego spędzania czasu wolnego. Park miejski w Malborku wzbogacono przede wszystkim o funkcje: sportową, wypoczynkową i reprezentacyjną. Niepowtarzalnie zagospodarowana przestrzeń, urządzenia do zabaw i służące poprawie kondycji fizycznej w otoczeniu zieleni komponowanej przyciągałyby mieszkańców, a także turystów. Park może być dopełnieniem obiektu historycznego w mieście, ponieważ zaproponowane układy kompozycyjny i komunikacyjny nawiązują do planu Zamku Krzyżackiego w Malborku.

The article presents proposals for expanding the function of urban parks to provide users with possibilities of taking various forms of activity and spending their free time in an attractive way. Primarily, the Municipal Park in Malbork was enriched with areas for the rest, sports and representative functions. The Quaintly developed space, playground equipment and installations serving improvement of physical fitness surrounded by the composed greenery, attract residents as well as tourists. The park can be a complement to the historical object in the town, as the proposed composition and communication systems pertain to the plan of the Teutonic Castle in Malbork.

Wypoczynek w parku zapewne większość ludzi kojarzy z biernym siedzeniem na ławce lub spacerowaniem. Nie jest to wynikiem negatywnego nastawienia do innych form rekreacji, ale raczej nieświadomości tego, czym mógtby stać się park, gdyby dokładniej pomyślano o potrzebach jego użytkowników.

Małe ośrodki miejskie położone na atrakcyjnych przyrodniczo i kulturowo terenach Małopolski Południowej posiadają duży potencjał rozwojowy związany z funkcją turystyczną i wypoczynkową. Jednak mimo licznych walorów środowiska naturalnego, brakuje właściwego zagospodarowania i wykorzystania atrakcyjnych terenów dla celów rekreacyjnych oraz dostatecznej infrastruktury turystycznej. W obszarach miasteczek występuje wiele problemów przestrzennych związanych z uciążliwościami komunikacji tranzytowej, potrzebami rewitalizacji przestrzeni publicznych, poprawą standardu usług oraz ograniczeniem procesu rozpraszania zabudowy i realizacji zasad ochrony środowiska.

Small towns situated in the attractive areas of southern Małopolska posses big development potention connected with recreation and tourism. In spite of many values of natural environment there is lach of the proper arrangement of theese areas. The main problems which can be found in space of small towns appeare as: transit transport, needs of revitalisation of public spaces, improvement of standard services and rules of environment protection.

The aim of this study was to examine how to take an effective rest to prevent a decline in alertness at work. The relationship between alertness during the rest period and subsequent task performance were investigated. The electroencephalogram (EEG) during the rest period was classified into 3 types, and these types had a significant effect on performance after the rest period. Type 1 (increasing in theta, alpha 2, and beta 1 power) was the best one for carrying out the task, whereas performance gradually declined in Type 3 (no change in EEG activity). In the case of Type 1, the method that would relieve sleep inertia bad a more positive impact on performance after the rest period.
