Information overload is the biggest challenge nowadays for any website – especially e-commerce websites. However, this challenge has arisen due to the fast growth of information on the web (WWW) along with easier access to the internet. A collaborative filtering-based recommender system is the most useful application for solving the information overload problem by filtering relevant information for users according to their interests. However, the current system faces some significant limitations such as data sparsity, low accuracy, cold-start, and malicious attacks. To alleviate the above-mentioned issues, the relationship of trust incorporates in the system where it can be among users or items; such a system is known as a trust-based recommender system (TBRS). From the user perspective, the motive of a TBRS is to utilize the reliability among users to generate more-accurate and trusted recommendations. However, the study aims to present a comparative analysis of different trust metrics in the context of the type of trust definition of TBRS. Also, the study accomplishes 24 trust metrics in terms of the methodology, trust properties & measurements, validation approaches, and the experimented data set.

Identyfikowalność służy do lokalizowania wadliwej lub niebezpiecznej żywności, kosmetyków, farmaceutyków lub innych niebezpiecznych dla konsumentów produktów znajdujących się w obrocie. Zapewnienie bezpieczeństwa dostarczanych na rynek produktów wiąże się z rejestrowaniem i gromadzeniem danych na ich temat na każdym etapie łańcucha dostaw, a więc na poziomie każdego z przedsiębiorstw biorących udział w tym łańcuchu. W artykule opisano, co wpływa na efektywność systemów obsługujących proces identyfikowalności w przedsiębiorstwie, a także w jaki sposób firmy mogą zwiększyć efektywność tychże systemów.

Traceability is used to locate defective or dangerous food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals or other products that are harmful to consumers on the market. Ensuring the safety of products delivered to the market related to gather and collect the data about them at every stage of the supply chain, in the other words, each company that participating in this supply chain. The article describes what affects the efficiency of the systems that support the traceability process in a company, and how the companies can increase the efficiency of these systems.

W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań nad zanikiem zdolności intelektualnych i psychicznych, który miałby postępować z biegiem czasu u osób w okresie późnej dorosłości, w wieku od 60 do 91 roku życia. Wyniki uzyskano dzięki przeprowadzeniu wśród pięćdziesięcioosobowej grupy trzech testów: Testu Sprawności Umysłowej według Hodgkinsona, Testu Folsteina oraz Testu E. Pfeiffera.

This article presents the results of loss of intellectual and mental capacity, that would follow over time in patients during late adulthood, between the ages of 60 to 91. These results were obtained by carrying on fifty people group of three tests: Abbreviated Mental Test by Hodgkinson, Folstein Mini-Mental State Exam, Pfeiffer's Short Portable Mental Status Questionnaire.

In the world today, the vast majority of medical electronic equipment contains software. Very often even the computer software is classified as an independent medical part. Because of the ease of making changes to the element of a large functional complexity, there is a high risk of introducing errors in the modified software. For example, just entering the wrong one filter parameter can make the biomedical signal processing circuit work incorrectly. As noted in [5], "the lessons learned from … disasters can do more to advance engineering knowledge than all the successful machines and structures in the world". This statement is also true in the software domain. The main goal of this paper is - basing on a database of medical devices with software defects - to draw conclusions and guidance for the design and maintenance of software for new medical equipment.

Praca przedstawia wyniki wstępnych eksperymentów dotyczących grupowania dokumentów tekstowych przy użyciu k-optymalizacyjnych, hierarchicznych oraz gęstościowych algorytmów analizy skupień. Eksperymenty wykonane dla rzeczywistych zbiorów dokumentów (a właściwie ich charakterystyk) potwierdzają fakt, że wybór algorytmu grupowania ma ogromny wpływ na efektywność (kompletność i dokładność) wyszukiwania informacji w strukturze skupień dokumentów.

The article presents the results of efficiency of searching relevant documents In the document clusters structure. The structure depends on the choosed clustering algorithm. In the experiments we used nonhierarchical, hierarchical and den sity based clustering algortihms.

Due to the widespread application of video shot detection in various video processing applications, an accurate shot boundary detection techniques have become an important research topic in the last decade. The video shot can be abrupt one due to camera break or gradual change caused by adding editing effects like fades, dissolves, wipes and morphs. The abrupt shot detection is simple one but detection of gradual change algorithms still not gain the required accuracy. To solve the problem of achieving accurate results to some extent in presence of object and camera motion, we propose a motion compensated blockbased approach specially designed for fade type of gradual change detection.
