Tracking error analysis method of digital pulse power supply for heavy ion accelerator based on emd reconstruction

Assessment of the state of a pulse power supply requires effective and accurate methods to measure and reconstruct the tracking error. This paper proposes a tracking error measurement method for a digital pulse power supply. A de-noising algorithm based on Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) is used to analyse the energy of each Intrinsic Mode Function (IMF) component, identify the turning point of energy, and reconstruct the signal to obtain the accurate tracking error. The effectiveness of this EMD method is demonstrated by simulation and actual measurement. Simulation was used to compare the performance of time domain filtering, wavelet threshold de-noising, and the EMD de-noising algorithm. In practical use, the feedback of current on the prototype of the power supply is sampled and analysed as experimental data.

Trudności w utrzymaniu jednorodnej temperatury wsadu, szczególnie w komorze w pełni załadowanej i szkody powodowane poprzez łuki i katody wnękowe to główne czynniki hamujące rozpowszechnianie technik jonowych. W pracy rozważono sposoby wykorzystania wyładowania jarzeniowego i jego wpływu na wyroby azotowane, w tym na detale o złożonej geometrii. Zwrócono uwagę na zalety impulsowego zasilania, które poparte rozwiązaniami konstrukcyjnymi urządzeń dają niezłe efekty praktyczne.

Difficulties in maintenance the homogeneous temperature of charge, particularly in a fully loaded chamber, damages caused by arcs and hollow cathodes are the main obstacles in propagating the ion technology. In the paper, the ways of taking advantage of glow discharge and its influence on nitrided products, among others parts of complicated shapes were considered. The attention was paid to advantages of pulse power supply, which supported by constructional solutions of the equipment cause quite good practical effects.
