The integration of Ukraine’s economy into the European space requires the dynamic and balanced development of all its sectors, especially the transport sector. The purpose of the research is to identify the factors related to transport entrepreneurship that affect the economic development of Ukraine, in particular regarding the formation of added value (gross regional product). The paper presents the author’s definition of transport entrepreneurship as an independent, systematic, and risky entrepreneurial activity in providing transport services. The results revealed a negative trend in the formation of the added value of the transport enterprises of Ukraine, both in terms of value and as a percentage of GDP. This prompted the authors to determine the factors affecting the formation of gross added value (gross regional product) by transport enterprises of Ukraine to further develop proposals aimed at their activation. Four models were created in the first stage of the research to achieve the goal. These models are based on gross regional product in transport, warehousing, postal and courier activities; gross regional product in transport, warehousing, and postal and courier activities per capita; gross value added in transport, warehousing, and postal and courier activities; and gross value added in transport, warehousing, and postal and courier activities per capita. In the second stage of the research, the fifth model with the highest correlation coefficients was built, which made it possible to identify the factors of negative and positive influence on the formation of gross added value (gross regional product) by transport enterprises in Ukraine. Based on the results, a number of measures are proposed to stimulate factors of positive influence and neutralize negative influence. The proposed tools for identifying the factors related to transport entrepreneurship that affect the economic development of Ukraine can serve as markers for the formation of the country’s post-war strategy in the field of transport entrepreneurship.

Jednym z istotnych filarów działalności instytutów, zapewniającym do-stęp do wiedzy, gwarantującym budowę potencjału naukowego, właściwe kształtowanie infrastruktury badawczej oraz wspierającym rozwój i znaczenie instytutów jest współpraca międzynarodowa. Artykuł prezentuje formy aktywności i zakres współpracy międzynarodowej realizowanej przez wojskowe techniczne instytuty badawcze. Artykuł przedstawia uwarunkowania w obszarze współpracy międzynarodowej związanej bezpieczeństwem, w korelacji z działaniami instytutów ukierunkowanymi na rozwój pożądanych technologii w sferze bezpieczeństwa państwa.

Continuous inflow of knowledge about innovative technical solution and critical technologies has a special influence on development of military technology research institutes. New technologies and advanced technical solution can be used to improve the operational capabilities of armed forces, as well as other services responsible for state security. Taking the above into consideration, an international cooperation is an important pillar of institutes’ activities, giving access to professional knowledge, creating scientific potential, shaping research facilities and setting the position of institutes in the world. The article presents the forms of activity and scope of international cooperation carried out by military technology research institutes. The article presents the circumstances in the area of international cooperation related to security, in correlation with the activities of institutes focused on the development of critical technologies in the field of state security.

Wymóg ekonomicznej efektywności działania przedsiębiorstw determinuje przebieg procesu podejmowania decyzji rozwojowych. W procesie tym, oprócz oceny możliwości osiągnięcia założonych celów projektowych, należy uwzględnić ekonomiczne skutki podjęcia określonych decyzji. W praktyce złożoność sytuacji decyzyjnych sprawia, że ocena ekonomicznych skutków realizacji projektów wymaga rozwiązania wielu problemów. W artykule przedstawiono te podstawowe, do których należą: wybór metod oceny ekonomicznej efektywności odpowiednio do specyfiki sytuacji decyzyjnej, a także podjęcie decyzji o realizacji projektów ekonomicznie nieefektywnych.

The requirement of economic effectiveness of enterprises activities determines the progress of decision-making process. In this process, in addition to evaluation of the possibility of achieving the project objectives, it is necessary to consider economic consequences of established decisions. In practice, the complexity of the decision-making situations makes the evaluation of economic impact of projects implementation, requires solution of many problems. The article presents the basic problems, which include: the choice of method to evaluate the economic effectiveness according to specifics of the decisionmaking situation, and also the decision to implement projects, which are economically ineffective.

W trakcie ponad 200-letniej działalności górnictwa węgla kamiennego na terenie Górnośląskiego Zagłębia Węglowego zdeponowano do kilkunastu milionów ton drobnych ziaren urobku węglowego. Ziarna te do połowy ubiegłego wieku uważane były za odpady, gdyż nie było w ówczesnych warunkach możliwości ich wykorzystania. Ziarna (muły) te są częściowo wykorzystywane, a częściowo stanowią złoża antropogeniczne. Mogą być wykorzystywane do celów energetycznych. W artykule omówiono działania mające na celu, w ramach podjętego projektu rozwojowego, opracowanie rozwiązań technicznych, organizacyjnych i legislacyjnych zmierzających do wykorzystania depozytów mułów węglowych jako paliwa energetycznego.

During over 200 years of hard coal mining activity on the area of Upper Silesian Coal Basin a dozen or so million tones of fine size run of mine coal has been deposited. These grains were considered to be refuse in the first half of the last century, since there was no possibility to use them under conditions of the time. These grains (slurries) are partially used, and the other part are anthropogenic deposits. They can be used for energy purposes. Activities are discussed aimed to, within the taken up development project, work out technical, organizational and legislative solutions heading towards using of the deposits of coal slurry as source of energy (fuel).
