Przedstawiono założenia ogólnej metody kształtowania i analizy powłok z arkuszy blach fałdowych. Metoda ta umożliwia realizację całego spektrum nowych form geometrycznych i otwiera nowe możliwości zastosowania takich powłok. Procedura kształtowania jest realizowana za pomocą programu komputerowego, który wyznacza położenia tworzących powłoki i osi płatwi połączonych z powłoką.

A general method of shaping shells of flat profiled sheets is presented. It allows for a vast array of new geometrical forms to be realised and offers brand new possibilities for application of such shells. The shaping procedure is carried out with the use of a computer programme, which determines shell generatrices and axes of purlins connected with the shell.

The main issue taken up in the paper is load capacity of cover structure of the coldformed aluminum sheets, co-working with the framework construction of the building. The basis of structures' safety assessment is presented. Partial safety factors, gamma m for cold-formed aluminum sheets, contained in the PN-EN 1999-1-4, include the simplifications adopted in the load models of individual components of construction. This paper also describes the model adopted in the engineering calculations for the thin-walled aluminum shell, susceptible for the effects of local buckling. Differences in the safety assessment and the analysis of load capacity of steel and aluminum thin-walled structures, designed according to European standards, are also pointed out.

It is possible to shape shells of flat profiled sheets thanks to their high geometrical orthotropy. A general method of geometrical shaping of shells is presented in brief. The method can be applied to build any shells of flat profiled sheets. A computer programme enables the determination of shell generatrices and other shell lines necessary for the design of shells. The structural analysis of flat roofs made of profiled sheeting is normalised. According the standards, an analysis of sheets consists in verifying individual folds as sheeting members. In shells, the shape and dimensions of individual folds are longitudinally variable, and folds are inclined longitudinally and transversely. Research has shown that twist of folds does not have significant impact on their stiffness.

W poprzednim artykule z cyklu "ABC sztuki dekarskiej" ponownie poruszyłem temat wadliwego wykonywania okapów dachów pochyłych". Powszechnie są one montowane w ten sposób, że nie w pełni spełniają swoją funkcję, tzn. są tak wykonywane, aby widoczna dolna krawędź połaci była równa i pozioma oraz aby można było swobodnie zamontować rynny na pasie czołowym. Pozostałe dwie funkcje bardzo często nie są realizowane: nie ma prawidłowego odprowadzenia skroplin i brakuje wlotu do szczeliny wentylacyjnej utworzonej przez kontrłaty. W dachach krytych blachami profilowanymi (blachodachówkami) występuje jeszcze jeden problem: od wielu lat masowo montowane są pod blachami specjalne uszczelki blokujące wentylację (fot.). Warto więc wyjaśnić, skąd się wzięła ta tradycja i jaką rolę pełnią w niej wspomniane uszczelki.
