A new approach to determining the end-of-service-life protecting against chemicals made from polymeric materials, which includes the application of mathematical modeling methods is presented in the article. The definition of the end-of-service-life concerns time, after which the polymeric material of protective gloves does not exhibit effective barrier against chemicals at workplace. Based on the review of the literature, factors, which influence on the structural changes of polymeric materials, and are not taken into account in the standard procedure acc. EN 16523-1:2015 (PN-EN 16523-1:2015-05) were characterized in detail.These factors determine the end-of-service-life of protective gloves. The procedure of exploring of functional dependency in mathematical modelling was also presented.
