Considering the phenomenal growth of network systems, congestion remains a threat to the quality of the service provided in such systems; hence, research on congestion control is still relevant. The Internet research community regards active queue management (AQM) as an effective approach for addressing congestion in network systems. Most of the existing AQM schemes possess static drop patterns and lack a self-adaptation mechanism; as such they do not work well for networks where the traffic load fluctuates. This paper proposes a self-adaptive random early detection (SARED) scheme that smartly adapts its drop pattern based on a current network’s traffic load in order to maintain improved and stable performance. Under light- to moderate-load conditions, SARED operates in nonlinear modes in order to maximize utilization and throughput, while it switches to a linear mode in order to avoid forced drops and congestion under high-load conditions. Our conducted experiments revealed that SARED provides optimal performance regardless of the condition of the traffic load.

IMBiGS made educational stands were described in the paper. Their elements and funcionality were presented. This stands were dedicated to developing skillings of the technical personel. They can be used in the all levels schools.

The world has become a "global village" - providers are just a click of the mouse in the virtual market. For this reason, it is increasingly important product marking allowing for reliable identification, regardless of where they are located. Identification systems must be adapted to a huge variety of marked goods, behave selected specifications and standards, while meeting the requirements of the customers.

Znalezienie kluczowych czynników pozwoli na określenie, czy istnieje potencjalny lider klastra, czy przedsiębiorstwa z sektora MSP posiadają potencjał rozwoju. Wszystkie te elementy stwarzają możliwość dla budowania logistyki sieciowego układu, skupiając w głównej mierze swoją uwagę na produkcji i dystrybucji.

The subject taken in article is focused on the presentation of research results towards identifying factors that will allow for efficient strategic management in enterprises with the potential to join the network layouts. Finding the key factors will determine if there is a potential cluster leader or is the businesses in the SME sector have the potential for development. All these elements provide an opportunity for building a logistic network system, focusing mainly its attention to the economy of production and distribution.

Expressions for expected incomes and variances in systems of HM (Howard-Matalytski)-queueing network are obtained. Queueing systems are unreliable, service channels in them are exposed to random failure. It is supposed, that service rate of messages, rate of work of serviceable channels and restoration rate of faulty channels depends on messages number in these systems. The case when incomes from transitions between network's states are random variables with the given moments of first two orders is thus considered.

W pracy przedstawiono aktualny stan sieci przesyłowej krajowego systemu elektroenergetycznego. Zwrócono uwagę na rosnącą dysproporcję między produkcją energii elektrycznej a rozbudową systemu przesyłowego, który jest niedoinwestowany. Na tej podstawie oceniono stan bezpieczeństwa elektroenergetycznego i jego wpływ na bezpieczeństwo energetyczne kraju. Zaproponowano kierunki rozbudowy i modernizacji krajowej sieci przesyłowej dla zapewnienia bezpieczeństwa elektroenergetycznego i rozwoju kraju.

In the paper current state of the Polish Power System is presented. Disproportions between production electricity and technology development of the network system are observed. The network system is not sufficient invested. It is estimated that security of the power system has significant influence on energy security. There are proposed some directions of the network system developing and modernization in order to ensure of security of the power system and in general development of Poland.
