Niniejszy artykuł przedstawia piąty etap badań dotyczących architektury i miasta w polskim filmie fabularnym drugiej połowy XX wieku. W pracy zwrócono uwagę na powstające zależności między obrazem filmowym a ideologią. Poruszono także zagadnienie obrazu filmowego jako zapisu przestrzeni miasta w ujęciu dynamicznym. Ostatnim polem badawczym rozpatrywanym w niniejszym tekście był obraz filmowy jako zagadnienie ochrony dziedzictwa.

This article represents how Polish modern architecture was presented in the Polish feature films of the 1960s. The analysis of the research material carried out herein included Polish cinema films made in the territory of Poland and focused on contemporary spatial reality of the times, with the account for the image of the post-war architecture and urban planning. Preliminary chapters discuss the selected films and present detailed analysis of the research material. Accounting for the specifics of the analysed issues, the period of the studies was fixed for the period from 1960 to 1970 as that period was very interesting for the history of Polish architecture – it was then when many iconic buildings were erected. Owing to the very selection of the aforementioned cinema films we were able to track down the transformations in the phenomenon under our discussion and analysis and to describe the findings in the next chapters. In case of detailed research the attention was focused among others on the presentation of Polish modern architecture in the film as an element of national heritage of the epoch in the broad meaning thereof. Furthermore, the topic of urbanism and how an image of an architect changed in the Polish feature films of the 1960s was also included in our studies. Conclusions sum up the issue of the manner of presentation of modern architecture in the film image as a creative process, inspired with other areas, rooted in the local background of the film makers, with architects among them.

The goal of this paper, in relation to the conference topic, is to show how a female architect was shown in movies from 1960s. The author presents this in two views of the life of women architects: passive – set in the realization of everyday career goals, and creative – set in creating the architecture of the future. He also emphasizes that, in retrospect, the creative attitudes of presented movie heroines are an excellent record of the times, when being a female architect was associated with the choice in the career path of little creative engagement on behalf of creative activity that could not achieve results because of the social reluctance in the time of the Polish People’s Republic (PRL).

Prezentowany tekst odnoszący się do tytułu konferencji ma na celu pokazanie, w jaki sposób postać architekta kobiety była ukazywana w obrazie filmowym lat 60 XX wieku. Autor zwraca uwagę na ukazanie dwóch postaw życiowych kobiet architektów biernej nastawionej na realizację codziennych celów zawodowych oraz twórczą nastawioną na tworzenie architektury przyszłości. Zwraca także uwagę, iż postawy twórcze bohaterek omawianych filmów stają się z perspektywy lat doskonałym zapisem epoki, w której bycie kobietą architektem związane było z wyborem drogi zawodowej o małym zaangażowaniu twórczym na rzecz działania twórczego, które nie przynosi rezultatów z uwagi na niechęć społeczeństwa epoki PRL.
