The article presents essential legal regulations concerning the industrial ownership law. The principles to have the inventions and utilitarian exemplars protected (universities and scientific research institute most often ask for such a protection) and licences signed have been discussed. A special attention has been paid to binding regulations that create a coherent system of industrial ownership protection in Poland which partially fulfils conditions connected with Poland’s access into the European structures.
